i don't have kids so i don't know what i would do, but it seems common these days for little girls to wear makeup, like on fb i see so many kid girls wearing lipstick, eye shadow. i feel sad, like why you want to take away the natural beauty of the child. i understand if they are participating in an event or something, but other times when just going out why put makeup? or are moms encouraging it for pictures for social media? what are your thoughts?

I let my daughter wear neutral lipstick with supervision and we do makeovers sometimes.

It's something fun we do together and she really likes using colors. People sexualize everything and it says more about them than anything.

for me it's just i think they look more cute and innocent without makeup. i get kids liking it, and moms letting them indulge, but on a regular basis seems a little much for a child.

I think kids will get influenced by what's going on around them whether we like it or not.

which means influenced by moms. because most kids do what their parents allow them to do.

true..but its not only the parents, they can be influenced by the media and their friends.

Little girls are always anxious to grow up and do grown up things. Wearing makeup is just one of them. It may indicate an attraction to modelling or the fashion industry or the acting profession in later life. I really don't see anything wrong with this if the girl in question wants it. As a mom, I'd hope to guide her so she wouldn't be taken advantage of by unsavory characters. But I wouldn't want to curtail her natural artistic expression. No tattoos though. But the other stuff could be the first sign of a budding artist.
