Who can spot a knock-off/fake?

DJ's post has me curious.. who are the types that can identify a knock-off/fake designer bag? (just for example)

My guess is that Mercury obv plays a big role. One friend who comes to mind that I suspect can quickly point out a fake has Mercury Scorpio (highly observational, digs out truths).

I know someone who should've made a career out of it.

I don't know which placement in his chart accounts for this.

Sorry to bring Virgo Mercury team down (if there is a team) but I'm hopeless. Unless it's blatant.

He'd show me pics side by side and I still could not see it.

I kept telling him to make an account here so he can discuss clothes and watches and shoes with the venusians and other quirky men on this site.

Unfortunately with great insight comes zero tact because he is horrible at bringing it up. A few years back he used to wander in these high class circles with his Scorpio cousin who was an accomplished lawyer..and he told me there was this party one night at a very rich very academic personality here..and the dude was showing them around the house and the Aries was all like "Umm, that's fake", "That's fake too"..til that dude had a temper tantrum "How do you know?!". His cousin was all like "Can't you just be quiet?". The thing he replied was along the lines of "The hideousness of a fake goes against my very nature, I can't help it".

You'd think I'd see a warning sign when on our second date he showed me all his suits and ties and explained each one at length.

But no.

All my girlfriends are still mad about it. They'd go gaga over him because they were like "girlll, now this is a man you can truly about how the outfit looks on you".

The problem was I never got to ask. He'd just glance at me and go "Umm, where do you think you're going dressed like that?"

Had a nightmare one night that he was setting my entire wardrobe on fire.

LOL Dude sounds utterly unpleasant to keep for company. I appreciate constructive criticism and struggle with perfectionist tendencies myself but thankfully my Lib-ness keeps it balanced.
