Hmm.. I'm pretty sure profiling is done in all states.

Anyone have good research on individual states, criminal histories of what's going on within each state?

Posted by AdmiraIforgiveness in his case. forgiveness is love, and what that woman Agnes showed him. That's sad for him and for his victims. A human just doesn't "snap" like that. the father was a former Firefighter in Toledo, ohio. I was like...WHAAA?? a former firefighter who helps people get out of burning buildings and helps douse he fire.
I remember hearing that a lot of prisoners in the hot weathered states go and help out take out the fire in the forest when there are forest fires.
How they manage to not run away in the forest while the fire rages is weird. They are not chained at the ankles like the past.
Reminds me of this documentary "Humans"

Top 10 states where you're most likely to encounter a serial killer:
Alaska
Alaska has only had 51 people recorded as being murdered by a serial killer. The number sounds low, since the more densely populated states like California have serial murder victims in the hundreds, however the study created a murder rate based on population. For Alaska that rate is shockingly high, at 15.65 residents per million people who are likely to become victims to a serial killer. This makes the state the number one most likely place where you might encounter a serial killer.
Nevada
While Nevada also has a low number of serial murders on paper at 98, when adjustments are made for historical population numbers it actually lands the state at the number two spot.
Florida
Florida is notorious in and of itself for the truly bizarre crimes that take place within state lines, so naturally it ranks as one of the top ten states where you’re most likely to encounter a serial killer. 778 murders in the state have been attributed to serial killers.
California
California has had almost 1,500 serial murders since the 1900s, and has been the scene for some of the most notorious serial killers out there—including the Zodiac Killer, Richard Ramierz and more.
Washington
Washington has had a whopping 277 people killed by known or suspected serial killers, some of whom have never been caught.
Oregon
Oregon has the sixth greatest frequency of serial murders in the country, after accounting for population ratios. Of note, a large number of the 162 serial killings that have taken place in the state since the 1900s have been due to strangulation.
Louisiana
276 serial murders were reported in the state since the 1900s, with the 2000s being one of the worst decades for the killings. Derrick Todd Lee was one of the worst perpetrators, and became known as the Baton Rouge Serial Killer before he was eventually caught and convicted.
Texas
Texas actually has the second-highest number of serial killings of any state at 793 reported.
Utah
There have 78 reported serial killings in the state of Utah. One of the most notorious serial killers from this state was Ted Bundy, who killed 36 women across multiple states.
Oklahoma
174 serial murders have been reported in Oklahoma, 84 of which occurred in the 1980s.
Posted by yupvirgooevery place sounds scary.
If I were to live in America.... I'd probably choose Charleston, South Carolina.
I've only ever read good things about that place.

Posted by yupvirgooI've got to read up on the creepy urban legends.Posted by lisabethur8Oregon seems pretty scary.
I notice it's just sex offenders.
not other types of "murders"
maybe the other types of murders, that happened in North Dakota, (FARGO film) is another type.
thanks for that, yupvirgo!!

Posted by Harethat's really horrible. what state was that??
All the lists being posted more or less coincide with population rankings.
Nothing more, nothing less.
There isn't one state that is any more or any less "crazy" than the others. It's simply a matter of higher probabilities in higher population areas and higher profiles because of higher populations.
Two years ago on Christmas Eve here in town, a "Bounty Hunter" thought two young boys walking through his property were stealing things out of his garage, so he murdered and dismembered both of them with a tactical tomahawk and dumped their heads and bodies in different retention ponds across the city.
There are sick pieces of shit wherever you go. Period.

I was reading on the news recently about two disgusting men who locked up a young girl and other children in the basement, for their gross pleasures. Disgusting. is it susceptible to weakly immoral men who have no strong morals or justice about them? something mentally disturbed?
and not long ago, another man from Ohio did the same /similar thing, where he trapped three young women in his home for 10 years!!
