Dubai!!! The one place you should visit in your lifetime

On a trip to Dubai this is the most beautiful place I've ever seen in me life ever

Party it is but nice.

Eh, I traveled alot after grad school.

Dubai has become very commercialized now. It is just desert and a huge shopping centre and hotel complexes.

and you have to be careful with drinking, it is a Wahabi Muslim country.

Go to Jordan, see Petra and Jerash.

Superficial, Concrete jungle. Not much history and ability to mingle with locals and have any real experience of the country-which is only what it is now. If you want a monied experience yes I recommend it 🙂

I go every few months for shopping.

I prefer countries which have more of a history and you can really have a personal experience and "feel" of the place.

Bleh.

And that soup is horrific... my cat eats lizards.

With sun and moon in Libra, making up my mind can be . . . challenging. Last year I realized I have a lot of airline miles and hotel points banked up, so I decided I had to go SOMEWHERE, and picked Dubai as I'd heard SO much about it. Underwhelmed. The pork section of the supermarket reminded me of being in an adult bookstore.
