I had a sit down with an old Virgo friend. We were in sync for years, until she got a little too close for comfort for my taste and I cut ties for awhile. It's all water under the bridge now and it was great to exchange with her.
She is a self proclaimed A Type personality who is about achieving in life. Career, family, education, fitness, activities are all planned out. She's a powerhouse!
Now, she's divorcing from her Scorpio husband who she married within a year of meeting. She was extremely loyal and tried to save the marriage but he wanted to move on. A very amicable split.
She planned on dating for awhile but has had a fast paced relationship with a new Scorpio. 5 months in... they are blending vacations, families, children's activities and talking about buying a house together. Scorpio #2 is even more motivated with the merge than she is. She's happy and excited, it's great.
I'm happy for her since it seems she has found someone who will pick up where the ex left off and build a life together. I don't know Virgos and my question is it's obvious she is smitten, but how much of the appeal is based on emotion/love for Virgo... and how much is about a logical/beneficial union?
The Virgals I know have checklists for based on practicality first, then emotional requirements come next.
I get your opposite Pisces and how emotional requirements are the spark. If they are met they can adapt to the practicalities of life for their partner. Is it the opposite with Virgos? Having that plan or similar goals in a relationship sparks them to adapt their emotions?
For me..but bear in mind I'm not the typical Virgo apparently and we have the same moon/venus/mars.
No, practicality doesn't come first. My heart leads the way. I don't even consider the practical aspect to it if I'm not in love. It's after I feel strongly for someone..then I will adapt and morph to meet them half way.
Linda Goodman actually wrote on this:
"When you hear of a Virgo woman who has outraged the laws of society, be sure you read between the lines. She is basically pure-minded-true. But so is love. Real love. And Virgo is not interested in any other kind. She'll climb the tallest mountains and storm the raging seas in galoshes and a pea jacket, once the spirit of Mercury has been exalted, which can considerably dim that wispy, chiffon image. Remember, too, that Virgo's true ruler, the distant Vulcan, is the god of thunder. A Virgo woman who recog?_nizes her marriage as imperfect and finds a-love without a flaw (or thinks she has, which is the same thing), won't hesitate to cut former ties. When she uses the knife, she'll be as cool and precise as a surgeon. Much as she hates to break the family circle, the Virgo hates hypocrisy more.
Once she's accepted a love as true and ideal, the purity of her own concept of the relationship reigns supreme over all the pieces of legal paper in the world. She's the one woman in the zodiac who can be deadly practical and divinely romantic at the same time. That situation of the love affair beside some faraway ocean may seem casual and immoral on the surface. Actually, it's a predictable example of a Virginian behaving true to character when caught in a difficult decision. She'll suffer agonies of em?_barrassment over the condemnation of society in such an affair, but that won't alter her course of action any more than it will alter the purity of her motivation. It's a perfect example of the firm practicality of Virgo's earth element, blended with the mental, airy, ideal-seeking Mercury. There's a white heat to Virgo love, once it's ignited, that can put the passions of other Sun signs to shame by its very intensity and singleness of purpose. Igniting it may take some time, however."
The dark side..and this will tie into what you noticed.
I didn't meet a lot of Virgo Women IRL but out of those I met..only one approached things like me. The other 4 were ruthless and cut throat.
One of them ruined a Scorpio friend of mine. He was so in love, presented her to me. There was no caring and tenderness behind her eyes. Only steely determination. I knew if the tide wasn't going to flow in his favor, she'd have no qualms and would cheat on him to gain a better advantage in society. This ended up happening after 3 years where she drained him.
Basically Virgo chicks pull off the innocent act so well..it's hard to see the ones who fake it from the ones who don't. In her case she was a little..too good, too nice. She was "Yes, honey", "Love you baby". A Virgo chick who's in love with a guy will expose her wittier side, her sarcasm..it will be done with tenderness but it will be there. She played to his ego by flattering him nonstop. It was weird to see him fall for that but he had to experience it I guess.
This sounds about right. Not saying that there was an affair going on, just a little grey... but she's not the type of person who is easily sparked. Not the way she was talking about this guy, she was glowing. How their lives slotted together was like icing on the cake and not the other way around. I guess I was wondering which came first the chicken or egg. 🙂

I'm tempted to pull her chart.... but will resist.
All the Virgals I know like a little scandal. Her fist hubby was very quiet and one of her students. 😉 She also secretly wed him, I just thought of that!!
More similarities than differences with this axis. One of my Pisces is a Virgo, the only Virguy I know.
