What's the best way to become a less impatient/anxious person. I know Virgos are prone to worrying, but is there a way to just mellow myself out a bit? I'm terrible for being impatient and getting anxious about things. If you imagine being in that state of "not knowing" when a loved one is lying in a hospital bed and their life is hanging in the balance and you don't know if they're going to make it? Well I'm like that about all sorts of stupid things that are nowhere near as serious. I wouldn't quite go so far as to read the last chapter of a book to make sure everything turns out okay in the end before reading the book from the beginning, but I wish I could do that with other areas of my life... Particularly relationships. I'm 3.5 months into a new relationship and it's going nicely enough, but I just want to see the future to know it's going to work out long-term so that I can relax during the "not knowing" stage. I've resisted telling my GF that I feel like this 'cause she'll probably think I'm crazy, clingy, needy, etc. and run a mile, but inside I am so anxious. This is a good example. We've got off on a good footing, we get on well and I'm sure it will work out, but I'd just like to skip the months that it takes to find out for sure. Obviously I can't do this so can anyone recommend any techniques for becoming less impatient and just chilling out? I'm not the only one like this, am I?

My Virgo husband is sort of like that .. but, not exactly.

He, too, doesn't know how to enjoy the ride ... and thinks the only joy can possibly be in the outcome. However, he doesn't get anxious about it or impatient.

Having to deal with me has left him no choice except to at least attempt to ride everything out without trying to know all the answers, since I'm the epitome of uncertaintity, ambiguity ... when it looks like a solution is apparant, I change the rules, so there is no answer. It took him ages to accept that life is about the journey along the road .. not the end of the road.

This is what you need to work on ... you feel like you cannot enjoy the road if you don't know what awaits at the end for you .. and you can indeed enjoy the road. What you have to do is change how you regard right/wrong, and realize there isn't a right or wrong answer, there is only experiencing.

It's not the obtaining of the orgasm that is craved ..... it's the stimulation that gets you there.

Don't worry ... you are not alone .. plenty of Virgos are worry-worts, also.
