The Flaw In Virgo Analysis

Virgos are said to have the sharpest analytical skills in Zodiac, but it has been brought to my attention on more than one occasion that there is a critical flaw in our internal calculus...

I'm a big fan of Frank Herbert's Dune, and I can readily identify with those human computers in his novel, the Mentats.

Mentats are humans trained to mimic computers: human minds developed to staggering heights of cognitive and analytical ability.

Unlike computers, however, Mentats are not simply calculators. Instead, the exceptional cognitive abilities of memory and perception are the foundations for supra-logical hypothesizing. What Virgo Mind is "without preconception or prejudice"? Certainly not mine, nor the minds of any of the Virgos I know in the Real World...

What other sign in the zodiac is more analytical than virgos? Scorps are close but I don't believe we are analytical, more intuitive to our surroundings.

I've said before that my Scorpio Wife is smarter than I am. That's not me patronizing her, even though she used to take it that way. When we first started dating, she was working on her Bachelor's, while I already had two Master's, and it bothered her a little bit...

But facts are facts: She processes data much faster than I do, and can reach a reliably accurate decision most of the time while I'm still considering all the options. Not only can she make a decision faster, she's much more likely to act on that quick decision than I am...

My major advantages are noticing and remembering all the nit-noid details that she either ignores or discards as useless, and my thorough contemplative approach to problem-solving that she has little patience for...

It's great to hear her say, "You're right, Honey, I didn't think about that."

But satisfaction, like other emotions, clouds my logic...

So...... Human....

Virgos are usually more intellectual than Scorpios too.

I think that goes back to Virgos being patient enough to pursue "intellectual" subjects, which often take years of study & thought to master.

Moon in Aqua people usually have clever and fast minds, but also stubborn as hell.

That's spot on for my wife.

Isn't everybody flawed by their humanity? Its ok to be human and its ok to make mistakes. Emotions are the most irrational/illogical side of humanity and I think Virgos struggle to understand that side of them. Emotions, however, are really the most flawed and most beautiful side of humanity.

That's a very un-Virgo perspective... How can something so flawed ever be beautiful??

I hate to say this, but I'm not highly intellectual. I can read people real well and my own emotions and other peoples as well but there ain't no way in hell I can hit the academic books and come out sane let alone happy.

I love to gather knowledge but I can't be told what knowledge I have to learn.

Emotions are the center of what makes us human, and yes, it can be both flawed and beautiful. On one side, it can cause such irreversable damage, on the other it can cause the beauty of love. So yes, it can be both. Why not? Whether its virgo like or not doesnt mean its wrong.
