The Odd Ways That Virgo Show Affection
huh WTF? either you people want affection from the guy so badly you start reading too much into simple things, or the guy is an alien lol. Im probably the most affectionate person Ive known and by that I mean every single gesture in the book, kissing in public spontaneously, holding hands in public, touching my girl all the time, etc etc
I definitely like to remember little details about someone to show I care. Like if a friend or someone I'm close to mentions a favorite candy, or movie, or something small then if I see it I'll get it for them. Just little stuff. I'm not a big fan of the "grand gestures." I prefer subtlety. I'm not a really emotional person, so when I do share my feelings or comfort someone while they share their feelings, that means I care.
Thats because you're young, not cause you're a Virgo.
I'm really affectionate physically - I like holding hands, hugging, kissing, giving you a massage when you are tired..the usual things. I love buying gifts because I have a good memory and I enjoy finding something nice for someone I care about.I also like cooking for people I love (venus in cancer).
That's pretty usual, I don't remember names of GFs friends either, except 1-2 of the closest ones. Yet, I do remember things about the GF, even small things, people are a combination of the personality details after all. Devil's in the details and all that.
I keep small promises as well, that's a must if you care about someone - irrelevant becomes relevant.

To be honest this was an attempt at a fun exercise to figure out the mysterious virgo's method of communicating affection. I wanted to do the same thing for the Taurus board to see how it shifts between the zodiacs.
For example it is said that Virgos tend to criticize when they like someone; this can easily be misinterpreted as something negative rather than a positive by someone inexperienced with Virgos.
Every sign has their quirks, so I guess I was hoping to find some real life examples for Virgos and their quirks.

Yes. Virgos have their own language when communicating affection or feelings.
They remember everything. I was shopping for work clothes and came across this $ 700 jacket at Barney's I could not take my eyes off of, but couldn't bear to spend that much so I resisted the splurge. Two months later, my Virgo bought it for me. He had been monitoring it online for it to go on sale. He snatched it up at 60% off and surprised me with it!
I have a Virgo bestfriend and he operates pretty much the same way. He worked for Microsoft in the game division and at the time we had argued about who's better at Bomberman. I jokingly exclaimed, "If I had an XBox right now, I'd kick your arse." Well, guess what happened a couple of months later during Christmas? A huge package arrived from my bestfriend and it was an XBox. Oh, and I did kick his arse.
They are critical. My Virgo bf will tell me what he likes me in, what color flatters and what doesn't, how he likes things organized, etc. My Virgo bestfriend is even worse than my bf, he really knows how to give me tough love. He'd say things like, "So, are we done complaining yet? What are you going to do about it?" Or, "When are you going to do something about your creative talents, I'm tired of seeing you do sh** that you're not passionate about."

SO SO very true about Virgos! I admire this so much about you guys. My Virgo loves can recall from scratch anything we've ever talked about that's important. Such amazing photographic memory!
He sounds odd. As one who has been described as the prototypical virgo male nothing you have relayed sounds remotely virgo-ish. If I knew him my critical side would be all up and down his sh_t. We cuddle we hold hands and we make you feel like your the center of our universe when you have our attention. And we get moody and cold feet then a little clingy. Then once that is all over we settle into a nice groove.
You are welcome to lead us down the path of adventure and if we protest I assure you if it won't hurt us or change our relationship radically we will go along (pretending to be reluctant) all the while secretly enjoying the ride and waiting for the right time to show that we may have some mastery in this new uncharted realm.

If he's such a bad guy...manipulative, mousy...then why don't break up with him,Tora? Why tortture yourself being with someone you detest?
Ack, did I give the impression that he is manipulative and mousy? I didn't mention the positive things because I'm more curious about quirky idiosyncracies rather than the obvious signs of affection.
Manipulative I might agree with, but supposedly he has been burned by a few crazy exes and one specifically bad relationship a few years ago; that's another thing about Virgos, its hard for them to get over the past isn't it?
To be fair he isn't that bad. When I am with him I do have his full attention; phone calls, msgs, and all that are ignored completely in my presence. He is always incredibly helpful if I need anything, or offering his expertise on projects I'm involved in, wants to introduce me to family members, etc. I just tend to complicate things myself.
We haven't talked about exclusivity, though he has hinted a few times that there is no one else, but I'm doing my best not to focus entirely on him. Mainly because I myself am not a secure person. I have moments of insecurity and anxiety, something I am trying desperately to fix.
...Although, weirdly enough there is another Virgo who is chasing me as well, but Virgo2.0 is doing it much more boldly. I talk to him but I'm not sure if I should go out with him. I'm curious to see if he displays similar traits to Virgo1.0 or not.
Tora: As a Virgo male remembering where the person lives is a natural talent for us. We couldn't get lost even if we never been to that place before. He will not remember the names of people unless you express that they are of some significane to you. We are extremely helpful for no reason and maybe too much. However, if you choose to date Virgo2 and not tell Virgo1 expect to be left alone completely. Now if you tell Virgo1 about Virgo2 there are a couple of outcomes that can occur with that situation:
1: You're dropped like yesterday's Newspaper. We have no problem finding someone who can appreciate us for who we are and really don't enjoy giving our internal feelings to someone who doesn't value them.
2: He may attempt to discuss with you why you've been talking to this person in the first place. He could be calm or raving like a lunatic with this one. If you touched him on the inside previously, he will not make that mistake concerning you twice.
3: He may tell you to have fun. If this is the case he won't take you seriously as a potential mate either.
BTW: Virgo2 also will probably lose interest because he'll learn your nature because when you tell him of this endeavor he will know that its just part of your personality.

Okay, so we have been going out for some time. He is getting on my damn nerves! He keeps talking about marriage and aski
As some of you guys know I am sorta seeing this Virguy and I've noticed little things he does that I am still wondering if it means affection or just some of his idiosyncrasies. Sooo here is my list:
1. While he won't message very often he times his messages to be precise. For example if I tell him I'm watching a movie at home, even though I don't mind texting while watching, he won't text back until two hours pass by then say something along the lines of 'The movie should be over by now, so what did you think?'
2. He remembers little information like where my friends live if I mentioned it, but not their names despite meeting them.
3. He will never blow up my phone with emails or messages and in fact likes to be the first to end the conversation via silence. However he will send consecutive texts that have nothing to do with each other even if I don't answer.
4. No matter how small the promise, he will keep it. Including silly things like 'Promise me you'll listen to this song right before bed!'
5. Is not an initiator; he would rather keep a text-convo hanging so we can resume it the next day rather than end it and start a new one the next day. I figured this is a safety mechanism of sorts, kind of like 'I'm not bugging her, I'm just responding.'
6. Self-absorbed! He thinks he is so smart and manipulative that he can circle things around me; like if I asked him 'what's up?' he immediately asks to set up plans for the weekend. I assumed he did that because he thought I wanted to meet up then and there and he couldn't, when in truth I was just bored. But, alas, I'm a Taurus, I just roll my eyes and don't say anything to let him feel powerful.
