if Virgo is a sign of service that means Virgo has no ego because to serve someone requires no ego because your doing something benefit all and having a ego means you can't serve because your ego worry about if you are doing a good job or not or wanting self gratification i read Virgo has no real ego because of this.

do any other Virgos feel the need to serve others.

Yes i do.... we really don't even though other sign think we do bc we point out there flaws.... we try to correct everything in our self so y not u.. but back to the topic i always believe this.. thats how i knew i was diff from everyone else they all have egos and i didn't... i never care about being popular even though i was.. and the people i see that want to be have huge egos... it could be of the service nature but i do not think so... libra and pisces are service people and they have egos.. not real big ones like a leo but it is there.. i think it comes from us trying to not have a weakness.. if u have an ego u are slave to the rest of the world.. bc ur ego must be feed... we get our energy from our self so thats why we can be loners and its no big deal to us.. other sign who are loner have a hard tme being loners in my view..

it depends though how ur moon sign is aspect in your chart i have a leo moon as well but i have a square planet to my moon
which is Pluto which makes me
a natural loner, impatient and potentially aggressive in attitude unless carefully controlled and moderated. Self-expression is often direct, with a style lacking in social graces and diplomacy, sometimes abrasive and brusque, especially with those you do not respect. This can create work and social problems; but these do not particularly bother you, as you prefer to be true to yourself. What you do need is to retain self-integrity and discover how to maintain a positive relationship with others.

You hate feeling restricted, and chafe against any imprisoning bonds, even if these were self-imposed for reasons which existed at the time. You are ambivalent toward the past, and often want to forget it as having little relevance; at other times, you display an attachment to it, attempting to invoke it. At least you know the past; the future sometimes scares you, stirring uneasy feelings, especially as this cannot be controlled.

You may find difficulty dealing with powerful feelings of destructive energy, an urge to smash and break down obstacles that prevent you from enjoying freedom. This inner state generates tensions and pressures which you control and repress, afraid that, if unleashed at an appropriate time, much damage could be caused. It can be hard for others to understand how this sensation of destructive emotional energy shapes and restricts you. You also find it difficult to discover how to release this energy constructively; but it is essential that relationship conflicts be reduced. You may often force issues, releasing this energy in confrontations which create sudden and dramatic life changes, despite intending this simply to release inner pressures which increase whenever you feel as if you are not in control. Your tendency is to explode - or to implode - to stimulate a necessary transformation that can create space for changes to occur.

You need to trust more - your family, intimate partners, and others. Try to communicate your feelings and difficulties so that others can help you to release them less abrasively. Compromise is essential; the world does not revolve around your needs and desires, and living together requires mutual benefit and support. Redirecting self-preoccupation toward helping others could become a way for emotional intensity to flow safely outward, reducing inne

A deeper self-understanding, perhaps through courses and study in psychology, occultism, meditation, and self-exploration, would benefit you considerably, and give insight into the energies and levels of consciousness which create the complexity of the human personality.

LOL Only we Virgos could discuss this so seriously! Everyone has an ego.

There's an assumption on here that it's BAD to have an ego and that Virgos are superior cos we don't... yet many philosophies exist which would suggest that serving others is self-seeking at some level (eg "I'm not happy when others are sad, so I work to make their lives better" = "I want to feel better so I have to make others happy so I can be")

There's nothing wrong with looking out for yourself, in fact people who don't end up as a burden on others, so where's the service in that? 😉

I believe you can serve & have ego - a healthy ego and a pride (be proud for what you do and how you do it) which furthers incentive and excitement. eg. boss or servee gives you a nice, sincere compliment, smile erupts on your face, positive feedback drives you even further, which in turn "helps" everyone. It seems to me lack of ego doesn't have much pep or get-up and go and would be rather depressing, imo. (at least a healthy ego that keeps the train chuggin' along). I know THE Donald would agree with me here. =)

Also, when you really think about, we ALL serve (or answer to someone, something, some institution, even yourself) in our lives. Nobody get's out alive without serving; it's a very pragmatic & realistic part of life too..
