I don't know. Micheal never really came off as a narcissist to me. Narcissism means an inordinate fascination with oneself. Was he that in love with himself as to have his face worked on? I think not. Especially so since we've gotten a glimpse at his inner feelings.

^^^this tendency is what has always bothered me about virgos. it's kinda scary to witness. not the anger...haven't seen that in an explosive way but the outright refusal to accept fault or wrongdoing.

It's the only way to get better.
The hard part is moving on after the truth, "You're just not all that great" sets in. In this period I'm just a very depressing person to be around. You can see the flowers nearby wilt and shrivel up near my presence.
jason, i think it's virgo's achilles heel. every sign has theirs but having witnessed so many of my virgo friends lose close friends due to their either being overly critical OR refusing to accept criticism is sad.
as much as they claim to not care about the loss, they CLEARLY care about it. if the shunned friend comes up in conversation, you're generally met with a litany of "all the things i did for him/her."
if you suggest something as simple as, "why don't you say i'm sorry," the virgo will get mad at you!!! imagine that, merely suggesting an apology can piss a virgo off. and if they don't get pissed, they put on that cold, unemotional, dismissive facade.
in the end, now they're not only mad at the friend they lost but they're mad at another friend for daring to suggest a resolution that involved the virgo admitting wrong doing.

true. i think the difference might be that leos are fixed signs and are unapologetic in a way for their outlook. they too are sensitive but ultimately hold themselves in higher esteem. they have the ability to turn these negative traits into positives.

I guess thats why It takes me a while to get comfortable talking about myself with people..like I need to make sure they will be the type to accept me first.

This thread, to me, only illustrates the truth...the world is simply becoming narcissists feeding on other narcissists. FB, Instagram, etc bear this out.

Virgoking my friend, at first glance your topic might seem true. It might feel true especially to many virgos who've read it, like me. But you've basically highlighted our real problem. We are so self-critical that anything bad said against us we accept as true. But the fact is we're not bad people, we're good people who think we are not good enough. Any criticism exasperates it, just like your topic.
For example, I don't help people to look good. I help people because I want those people to succeed and it gives me great satisfaction knowing they have, and I don't care if I'm given credit for it. It makes me happy to know that I've contributed to their success. See? This is the virgo's deal. We don't stand up for ourselves enough. We don't say 'yo, you're wrong', this happened because of this, this and this, not because I'm a bad person. We don't actually sit and think, we just automatically assume we're in the wrong and maybe this causes us to hate criticism. It's because we find it hard to defend against when we are so self-critical. We are not prepared to stand up for ourselves. But we have to be dammit. We can't let people shit all over us. I think the real problem with this particular article is that it's written in such a way as to only be condemning. If a Virgo attempts to refute the POV, then they'll be seen as denying some kind of truth and silencing their critics, becoming a narcissist by default. Narcissists cannot stand the truth exposed or their image shattered. Virgos cannot stand criticism. They likely go to criminal lengths to silence their critics. Most astrologers are of the opinion that Virgos are so critical of themselves that they do not need outsiders to do the same. Wrong!!! It is a narcissist that evades criticism arrogantly; they can get physically violent upon criticism. If you criticize a Virgo boss, be prepared to look out for another job.
^^^this tendency is what has always bothered me about virgos. it's kinda scary to witness. not the anger...haven't seen that in an explosive way but the outright refusal to accept fault or wrongdoing.

my husband has virgo in his chart, it's the only "earth" and he's very antisocial and hates drama. But his dominant fire makes him easy to get on with extroverts,(he has to, for work as well) just that personal life, he prefers the quiet and the routine. could be too, raised by earth dominant parents. but astrology is interesting.
my father in law is a virgo sun/moon, i can see so much virgo in him, like over the weekend we looked over his travels from other countries on the laptop. Attention to detail, attention to what year, what happened that day, it's just so amazing. It's like having a computer inside his head. better than reading a history book! it's funner. LOL but he wasn't feeling good so it made him too excited showing all those photos, so he had to relax. And his wife took over for him. Not as much detail but it's still good.

jason, i think it's virgo's achilles heel. every sign has theirs but having witnessed so many of my virgo friends lose close friends due to their either being overly critical OR refusing to accept criticism is sad.
as much as they claim to not care about the loss, they CLEARLY care about it. if the shunned friend comes up in conversation, you're generally met with a litany of "all the things i did for him/her."
if you suggest something as simple as, "why don't you say i'm sorry," the virgo will get mad at you!!! imagine that, merely suggesting an apology can piss a virgo off. and if they don't get pissed, they put on that cold, unemotional, dismissive facade.
in the end, now they're not only mad at the friend they lost but they're mad at another friend for daring to suggest a resolution that involved the virgo admitting wrong doing.

Ok so here is my situation with this virgo guy...I need advice
Ok we've been dating on and off for 10/11 months. I'm a young successful taurus, him, not so much but I was willing to help him get on his feet so we could build our future together...BIG MISTAKE of me thinking like that...so one day I got on him for not putting effort into finding a full time and not trying....you guys knows virgo he didn't like to be criticize, during the argument he started throwing a lot of ish I told him about in my face. So me being the taurus that I am, I snapped and broke up with him. Furthermore, I cut him off, not talking, texting nothing. Then his mother starts calling me, "just to check up on me" any way after 2 weeks, we started talking, we were intimate blah blah then I asked him where our status was, "he said I don't want to be with you or anybody right now, I want to get my life together" but every time we speak or together we act like we are a couple... He reinterated that he still didn't want to be with me so I cut him off again... His mother starts calling me again.... Fast forward 2 months of me not contacting him. Total misery for me but he didn't know that....so his son which I absolutely adore wanted to see me...I went thru his mother to arrange me seeing his son. He had a problem with that which I get... Because he is the parent so I called him. It was cool so I saw his son. First thing that little boy said to me who is 4 yrs old btw is I want you to see my daddy. I'm like oh great, I don't even know how to respond to that so I brushed it off. So I continue enjoying him and went home. I broke down and ended the not speaking terms. Called my ex, now I'm back to square 1, he still feeling the way he does and he also says it's ok for me to date other people bc he doesn't want me to wait on him. Now I know how long it took me to get my life together, and during that time I had a amazing guy to support and help me to keep focus and I thought I should that to him but it clearly backfired.

There is nothing matter of fact about this article - it seems to be nothing more than an opinion.
I believe that narcissism may be the dark side of virgo. Every sign has a dark side that manifests itself in different degrees (or not at all) - for example, a healthy cap is very loving, fatherly/motherly and loyal but the dark side of cap is that they can be promiscuous, sabotage happy relationships and have an addiction to longing. (FYI this cap info was written by a psychologist not a blogger) An example of unhealthy cap: tiger woods. But there are lots of good caps out there. My best friend is one of them.
As a virgo I can be self centered sometimes because I find that I let my problems consume me.. But I also really feel for others, even strangers, but especially loved ones. Their problems are my problems and I'm affected by their pain and want to help always.
Also I can accept criticism because I'm my own worst critic. Every time I mess up I'm so hard on myself and do everything I can to improve, grow, learn, never make that mistake ever ever ever again. Virgo's problem is more that we have a fragile ego. We may not be able to ADMIT we are wrong but deep down we are so hard on ourselves about it. As far as being a narcissists a bit. I can say sorry but its like pulling teeth...its a very painful experience for me. And I'm Sorry only comes out if I truly feel or know I was wrong. If I feel an inkling of I'm Right then that sorry is hard to get, but even in those situations I will come back and say sorry...just not right away it may be hours or days later.

LOL Yep. You get it. Total Virgo gets "it". Socializing/social network with like-minds, but ewww. I don't like people in real life, except for a select few. Unless it's with the very few I love.
