Everyone has a different standard I feel. If you deem someone as "high maintenance", you're not meant to be together. What seems high maintenance to you, will seem normal to someone else and to the person in question. They could also be in a transformative process of having to realise what their true priorities in life are right now too, maybe they don't have awareness of this yet but it could hit them at any time.

What they could prioritise now, might not be the same later. I can definitely say that for myself since working on myself since mid 2020 everyday.

It also depends on what your definition of high maintenance is too. Like I said, everyone has different standards. If someone doesn't want a lover who doesn't have ambition for anything or have any goals, that's valid. They are allowed to hold that as their value and again, that could change as they mature as a person. Any standard can change for anybody. And to someone else, having no ambition is no problem for them because maybe they're just looking for a fling with this person and they might see the person who doesn't like having no ambition as "having too high of a standard". No one's standard is invalid. But positive standards that help you be your best version of yourself are definitely the recommended if you want the best life for yourself and with someone you love as you can help each other be your best versions. But again, it all depends on what you value during your current state of life.

A busy career person could be seen as high maintenance and not chill, but they could just really love their career and in the long run, they're probably trying to build a stable legacy for themselves and future families. It's all about perspective ya know I know this is not really answering your question, but I wanted to offer a different perspective aha

Personality is how you know you can handle living with someone for long term if you're looking for that, in my opinion. You don't want to be talking to a curvy brainless rock now, do you?

Sometimes the person you really like or ends up being the right person is someone who is completely not the ideal type you thought you liked, but someone out of your expectations but the type of person you needed in your life

I've had way more just real crappy situationships thus far. But I very obviously distanced myself from a dude I go the same uni as when in the first year, he said "I can't wait to rely on you".

Ew nooo I don't like dependent people. Maybe it wasn't his intention, but his wording definitely came across that way 😅 he's a sweet, charming and funny guy, but when I see that dependency and clinginess, I'm heading for the hilltops, bye 😆 I'd be lying if I said I didn't still fall for his eyes and voice every time we do talk every once in a while still lol very naturally charming without trying to be. Those damn dreamy Piscean eyes.

I would say most are similar to me in that we hate going out on dates.

Having said that though, I have been on two with different Taurus that fit the traditional meaning.

Both men approached it indirectly.

1. High school - Taurus and I had mutual friend (female Cancer). He told her he was crushing on me and wanted to take me to Prom. So… she set up lots of events where he and I would be together and naturally get to know one another. Then he asked me.
Prom was awkward. It’s a social event and I knew a lot of people. He would shut down or get grumpy when I talked for too long. So, I felt THAT pressure…lol.
But it was amazing when we had our 1:1 moments - dinner sitting so close to one another and talking in each other’s ears, dancing together, going outside for a walk, sitting on the sofa. He was very affected by me and I liked how he reacted to me, it turned me on… and by getting turned on, it would turn him on to see me turned on. That part was🔥 really nice 🔥.

2. A friend of my Pisces sister saw me at a party and he told her he had to meet me.
I think she told me too much so I wasn’t interested. But then he came to me and his approach was very disarming so I accepted to go out with him.

At the dinner, we ran into a huge group of admins from my work. They and we ended up waiting for our tables together and they all took over asking him a million questions and then me. Then they were telling me “omg, I’m so excited for you, he adores you, he’s the one, don’t mess it up… bla bla bla”. I felt PRESSURED.
Then at dinner he reinforces what the admins were saying and he said I was marriage material and that is where he wanted to head with me.
It was too much too soon. Too much pressure from the outside world that I could see or desire anything except to escape and runaway.
I felt bad because he was very sweet and had the approach been differently, I think the outcome might have been differently.

I told him I was overwhelmed and he waited for me for a year to see if I would change my mind. But I didn’t.

Non dates are more successful than dates I believe.

I'm so glad you could leave both situations cause I'd probably be running away too lool I think it's the Universe's way of telling you they aren't the Ones either. Clearly. I cannot believe the first one already tried to have control over you by getting all grumpy frumpy about you just talking. That tells me he's not a great listener. So good dodge on that one.

I also had a Pisces dude who also said stuff that was like too much too soon too. So I guess it depends on your placements. But at least the second Taurus was honest about where he saw you guys going quick enough that you didn't have to waste any more of your time and energy on him and could just move on?

Fair. Such as? Personally I am not a huge fan of tacky, thoughtless and overly sappy cheesy romantic generic stuff such as a generic teddy bear, thoughtless random chocolates, handing me your coat (plus I'm always prepared before I go out as I check the weather etc. if anything, I'd probably be the one handing people things 😆) and clearly showing you're trying to win me over through showing only your physical strength bravado (this one really turns me off lol) etc.

Tbh it's just anything without any personal thought put into it I think.. When you show someone that you actually personally know them and their interests and turn offs, I think anyone likes that just because it shows that you actually listened and kept info about them in mind!

I'm not really familiar with those square and other shape stuff lol but I have a Virgo Sun and Pisces Moon and I'd say I'm pretty balanced in both logic and emotions because of them

How has your guys' year been? Seems like all the bulls I know have been making big moves this year, and I hope y'all are no different.

I'll say this year has been stressful, but its been amazing. I was able to buy the home my dad grew up in. We closed on the 10th anniversary of his death. I cannot wait to fully restore this thing. He always loved the house. It was built in 1862. I deal with real estate all day everyday, I get stoked about most every deal... this one is going to be special though.

Also, completely kicked any nicotine.. no cigars to celebrate things with has been hard to psychologically get over 🤨. Back down to pre-covid weight, lung power is 90% back, taste buds are slowly getting back to normal.

I'm not a Taurus, but freaking congratulations on kicking your addiction, I think that's so amazing. There's many just as awesome ways to celebrate your achievements for sure, you just have to find your own ways

And my Taurus guy friend as far as we have talked recently, he's been travelling for work a lot and he's real busy because of that but he likes the work so I'm happy for him tbh. I'd love to travel for work so definitely sounds like a cool reality to live.

i've noticed with aries men that they're kinda high maintenance like they need a lot of time and attention or they'll give up and lose interest. they're not as persistent as astro writings will have you believe.

Interesting cause I don't talk to the Aries dude from my original post that much but whenever we did talk, he will use that chance to ask us to meet up or for my phone number lol that's why I got frustrated and made this post in the first place. Like.. Let it up already, take the hint. I realised it is my non confrontational Libra and Gemini placements that make me want to do everything to not be confrontational and direct lol again, working on this currently.

Yeah, it could be your Venus Retrograde or whatever else to combat that. Cause as far as I know, I hardly displayed any interest to that Aries dude. Our small talk texts are as comparable as I breathed and he kept asking to meet up or for my phone number lol

And cause I'm non confrontational and don't like making awkward situations or being in them, I run away. Same if someone shows dependant behaviour. It's.. a problem lol I'm working on being more direct and confrontational these days.

I have a not so great biased opinion on Pisces guys that I am in the process of healing currently. Pisces girls are the sweetest ride or die friends I've ever had, one of my closest friends is a Pisces-Aquarius cusp girl and I had anothee Pisces female friend who sent me a whole shoe box of gifts for my birthday before after just 2 years of online friendship. Just sweet ladies who have your back and will listen to whatever you need to get off your chest without criticising you at least not to your face lol

But I'm a Virgo Sun, so Pisces being my opposite fills what I don't have that they have and vice versa. So it works out and I'm a Pisces Moon as well.

I guess you can use this info to see if Pisces guys are similar but yeah, I just have had mostly negative experiences with a few from my past that I'm healing and doing forgiveness work for. They're very stalkerish, the insecure and immature ones anyway. So be wise on which Pisces you choose.

I'm not too familiar with non gay Libra men. I've met 2 gay Libra guys in my classes, real funny guys though. But I'm too awkward lol (Virgo Sun at play) but I am Pisces Moon.

Positive self talk and self soothing when things go South and reminding myself that things will always turn out okay because I believe the Universe always works in our favour and not against. If you look at your past from a bigger picture perspective, you'll see the proof of that. No matter what, everything always turned out okay, or at least you have survived it and can heal yourself and become stronger from the experience. Because I believe that fear of thinking nothing will turn out okay comes from a fear of being at rock bottom forever and your life ending pretty much.

Which is so not true. If you believe that there's always a way to solve a problem, then the solution will always present itself to you because you allow yourself to look for it.

Ive also attended anxiety workshops, and that changed my life. The one quote I took from it? "Avoidance feeds anxiety". The more you avoid something, the more you feed your anxiety the belief that the thing you fear is bad and will happen to you. But you have to realise even if it did happen, you have to build up your trust and faith within yourself that you are well equipped and capable of surviving and finding a way through to the other side okay.

I have all forms of anxiety by the way, but I have trained myself to be in the mindset where I will not let these fears hold me back and let that poison consume my soul from doing the day to day activities I want and need to do and from living and enjoying the life I truly desire too.
And based on "avoidance feeds anxiety", I have social anxiety. I used to have a more severe form of it prior to 2017. But since then to now, it's now my least severe anxiety form. Why? Because I kept challenging myself to be brave and do the things that my social anxiety was afraid of. One of my proudest achievements was dining in a popular restaurant in my city ALONE. Everyone looked and gave sneering stares, but so what, I told myself. I'm enjoying my meal I paid with my own hard earned money, not their money. And I have proved to myself that I don't care what anyone else thinks. Me dining out alone made their insecurities uncomfortable. Hence the weird looks and smirks or back chat, and I'm fine with that. It's their problem, not mine. I was just enjoying my peri peri chicken wrap, peri peri salt fries and Mediterranean rice dish! I'm craving for those fries right now even.. 😳

I don't know, but in my country, lots of people don't wear it on the streets, but I do because I'm immunocompromised so I can't risk it. We're still encouraged to wear it in supermarkets and shops though.

I think I'll always wear it in public, except on hiking trails in nature because I love breathing in fresh air from nature directly!

Have you seen the amount of splatters that splurt out when someone coughs, sneezes, talks loudly, laughs? So.. much.. saliva.. and if they're ill and talking directly towards your unmasked face? Good luck. You can look up videos of the amount of splatters that come out too.

oh yikes, well, to believe is to manifest I say. Like if you believe negative self talk over positive self talk. Or how people believe in the stigma about the number 13.
But for me, I consider it just a number, not good luck nor bad luck. But I was born on the 13th too, on the 13th floor of my hospital. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th of 2013. And I've seen lots of positive things have happened or been posted on my birthday every year.

So my point is, I think your perspective and belief of something is what matters the most here to believe is to manifest~

Definitely agree with you on that one. I'm looking at Scorpios, Leos, Aries and Geminis with that one for my experiences.

It's taken me meeting non toxic and genuinely kind people of each of those signs to start believing that each zodiac sign really does just have it's positive and toxic apples out there. And I'm finally healing myself from my wounds since mid 2020 till now. Healing my initial resentment of those zodiac signs lool

I think it's easy to get sucked into the mentality that once you find out the zodiac sign of the person who f*cked you over, you assume all people in that sign are like that. But that's not true at all.

No, we started talking in 2018, very brief for like a month and just general commenting on each others posts, not regular texting. Then we stopped talking or interacting in 2019. So nothing in 2020 or 2021 until now. Now this week is when we finally started talking and catching up through small talk. It's not consistent contact at all. For me, that's weird to just show up and ask me to be flown out there all of a sudden lol and he's a player and womanizer, I hate associating with players on a close level. But he's not a mean dude, so I'm fine with the small talk texting that we do. It's not a reason to cut him off completely.

It's fine if you don't understand where I'm coming from, I'm not asking you to, my reasons are valid to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ and if you don't like this post, just stop responding.
