I imagine the difference is probably not that big. I see a Cap with Cancer Moon as someone who's really calm and logical but a big softie underneath.
Don't let the Cap Moon stop the best part of Cancer Sun from shining through.

I'm a Sun in Cancer Moon in Cap w/Gemini rising. This combo is more reserved and integrated than a Cap sun Cancer moon. The moon energy is on both ends in our cases but in the Cap sun moon Cancer one side is completely separated from the other. They can emote uncontrollable and than the Cap energy will take over and they will be 'normal' for a while.
Then something will trigger their emotions and they will go off emotionally as the moon in Cancer is triggered. I wondered about this guy, John Amos. He was 'Authority' like a Capricorn but then wildly sentimental. Maybe he is a Cancer? He is a Cap Sun Cancer Moon. (Florida is an Aquarius).
