Ahh thank goodness, thank you. I started to question myself for being too direct with her because she’s so sensitive. I try to be too helpful sometimes but it usually ends up backfiring.
Some people really love learning things the hard way. Usually because they’re masochists or mentally incompetent. They cannot be helped. I would also say sit back and just watch but one would benefit from cutting them off entirely if possible (it’s very unfortunate when it’s family members). They tend to also have a whole bunch of other toxic traits.
Some people have to touch the stove to see that it’s hot. Let them touch the stove.

I haven't read probably any of this I'm basically going by the title of this thread. My gemini sister don't drive me nuts with her and her Libra husband feuding fussing and fighting. She is incredibly insecure and always fighting with her Leo bf because he said the wrong thing and hurt her feelings. They haven’t been dating for even a year and are already ring shopping and she moved in to his house after 8 months of dating.
What bothers me is that she’ll complain about their arguments so damn much. I try to offer her solutions and empathize with her but then she makes excuses for him. She’ll teeter back and forth in one conversation from fearing they will break up to saying that he said they will work it out. It’s very confusing and distressing for me because I want to help her but I’ve also been burned by her in the past with when helping her with her ex bf’s. She would confide me, she would not like what I’d tell her, and then we’d end up arguing.
She is boy crazy and prioritizes her love life above all else, even her family. I see her more when she’s having issues with her bf and when they’re happy, I hardly hear from her at all.
Things came to a head today when I went out to lunch with her, our mom, and youngest sister. They haven’t really had to deal with the Gem like I have but all she talked about during lunch and every time we hang out pretty much, is about her love life. I’m tired and annoyed.
I told her how I felt after the lunch, that I think she talks about her love life too much and it stresses me out. She responded that she won’t talk to me about her relationships to me anymore (which we agreed to do a while ago yet she still does).
Now, I’m distancing myself from her. She’s stressing me out because I have a hard time establishing boundaries. When she talks shit about him, I think he’s a bad guy for her but I think she just wants to bitch and moan, which I can’t stand. I’m a solution-oriented person. Am I being too harsh and insensitive?

My Gemini bff does this, I don't mind it but sometimes I'm like learn to control what you feel you need to say. Like wtf, I don't need to hear you just bitching about the same thing, either change it or don't but stop thinking I need to listen to all that negativity.
I would just tell her "Oh, you guys will work it out" and then change the subject. If she brings it back up again, I would say "We agreed a while ago that you wouldn't discuss him with me and that still stands." Then I'd immediately change the subject again. She'll get the message I assure you.
I feel like your reaction to her behavior is not proportional to her actual behavior. I don’t see anything here that should be stressing you out as much as you are. So she’s annoying and talks about her bf? Is that all? Is that really distressing? Just ignore her or tell her to shut up when she starts in on it. Simple. You don’t have to give her a platform

Make no mistake about it I do love my beer without a doubt. It almost look odd to see me without a bottle in my hands.

Sad thing is it's limited edition so I gotta hurry up and take as much advantage of that delicious tasting beer as I can now before they pull it off the shelves. Right now I gotta give my ribs and liver some rest before buying and drinking anymore. There's not a being on the planet can outdrink me.

Um I don't know. I kinda really don't wanna believe astrology has anything to do with alcohol but kinda where you from. I was born and raised in Texas. I didn't come to south Carolina until around late 1990 to early 1991. Only because I was stationed in ft mills in boot camp. The city of ft mills then was just finishing up getting a new makeover due to a terrible hurricane known as Hugo. My kids are from here. I have or maybe I should say had a slew of uncles in Texas that were heavy drinkers. All of them dead from years of drinking corn liquor. And sadly I'm picking up their bad habits. It can be said that I now have that Texan influence in me from drinking, chewing tobacco, playing country music fingerpicking style , and even talk that Texas slang to everything else in between you can think of. All I'm missing is a cowboy hat and Texas rodeo boots to finish it all off. I'm the type that go....bet you can't outdrink me.
Most drunks I know are Virgo and Pisces men. And Virgo men are hilarious when they get drunk. As if they ain't hilarious already when sober.

Ugh moonshine taste nasty. How and why people wanna drink that nasty tasting stuff is beyond me. I'll take rum and gin over that. I try to take it easy when it comes to liquor. That stuff eats up all your insides (as was the case with all my uncles) and ages you fast. I know beer put age on you too so maybe I need to slow my role so I can get back to looking 20 again. Probably too late for that now, though. And chile yeah. Virgo men got it going on with the drinking. That's gotta be about the only sign that can literally get me out my comfort zone and break character.
Yeah I agree about Moonshine. Rot Gut is what they call it here and I've seen it kill enough people when I was a kid. That turned me off to alcohol altogether and I'm glad.

I’m not sure either but we’re both allergic to alcohol (Asian glow). Depending on who her partner is at the time, if he enjoys drinking then she will partake as well. She’s a chameleon.
