Gemini moon by yourself - how do you deal with it, especially in work situations?

I, Scorpio sun with Leo rising and Gemini moon, have noticed I tend to get distracted so easily with things. I suspect it's because of my Gemini moon, but it doesn't help me to concentrate into things.

I'm working as programmer, where I need to concentrate into things. But I grab every opportunity to get distracted and to do something else, where I don't need to sustain a long time of attention.

While it's the nature of Gemini moon probably, it's not very helpful for work productivity. So I wondered how others might deal with the Gemini moon in their chart? Any experiences with that?

My 8 year old son is a Scorpio with Gemini moon.. i recently had conference with his teacher and she told me how he is doing so well academically but then followed it up asking if he had issues with attention deficit.. I shut that shit down immediately. Like you are not going to slap a label on my son just because his brain works faster than yours does lady. Lol

Have you tried using check-off lists already? I get scatter brained when I’m over caffeinated or anxious.. check off lists help keep me focused and help bring me back. Also being routine oriented helps me and sticking with that routine everyday. Like using a certain block of time during the day for specific tasks (like from 8:00-9:00 return phone calls, 9:00-10:00 update spreadsheet) just as examples.

Lol I was always in trouble in school for talking—however I was always the first person with my hand up with an answer too! I was just bored… a lot. I love learning!!!! But yes, my brain moves at an excitable pace. If I wasn’t bored, I was the model student pretty much. Hell, I won 2nd place in the Geography bee in either 5th or 6th grade and lost 1st to an 8th grader. To be fair, my older brother was in 8th grade and had poor grades so was always being tutored by our mom. I guess I just listened and learned way ahead of my class. I got straight A’s growing up and it only started to decline if I didn’t like a teacher or subject, and then later on due to grief in high school and college.

i keep myself motivated and focused by imagining gloomy scenarios and consequences. Like for example, “if I don’t do/finish this, THIS will happen.” i push myself by scaring myself with the consequences if that makes any sense lol 😂

the consequences could be something like “I’ll be broke if I don’t work hard” or “I can’t retire early unless I work hard now” (I’m trying to retire early lol 😂) or “i will disappoint someone if I don’t do/finish this. He/she is counting on me.” or “ i will fall behind and another person will get that opportunity instead of me“ or “I will disappoint myself if I break a promise I made to myself and feel like crap”. Etc (it’s harder to look in the mirror when you disappoint yourself)

i dunno if this shit works for anyone else but it sure works for me lol 😂

So, scare yourself with the consequences is my advice to you lol

It's not easy trust me. As a Gemini mooner I get distracted by gorgeous women just by their existence prancing all around. And i cant help but stare and drool. I just go find a cubby spot when I need concentration. Just from people talking entirely too much can easily distract me. With triple geminis all in major planets its bad. I can imagine Gemini rising is worse.
