I do interior design for a company that is connected to a home builder...we’ve actually surprisingly been busier than ever with sales, but there is still a decent amount of uncertainty about the future which has effected my job directly as far as new projects go. We are busy installing things I started at the beginning of the year, but who knows what’s going to happen in the coming months.

I think things will be clearer by the end of the year and either things will go back to normal or I could be laid off. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I lost a few jobs because some people had funding fall through or decided to sell properties without developing. Other jobs got held up in city submission with the city closing and then only operating part time.

I dropped my office lease because we were month to month and it was a good decision because I had everyone working from home anyways. And I didn't want to have to cut hours, I'd rather lose brick and mortar then the people I've invested in. Dumped the stuff at the other businesses office location, it was crowded af but again sitting empty. Ironically there hasn't been an open office in this building for decades cause location is fire... but with covid someone in the building ended up leaving and we snagged their space which is 2xs the size of the old one for just a few 100 more. Aries moon always lands on their feet, its ridiculous really.

Now things have gotten so busy everyone is working overtime at this point.

I run a design office, landscape/hardscape/pool permits/irrigation/grading and drainage/retaining walls/ LID/ Lighting/ Fuel modification, etc. 85% of our jobs are new development. And I don't advertise, its all word of mouth.

I work for a theme park and I’ve been having survivors guilt since the furloughs were announced

I’ve been WFH since March but I still worry how long till capacity is back to profitable levels

My cousin lost her job but was quickly rehired. She’s a lawyer

My sister lost her job and idk if she has a new one yet. She works in college administration

The housing market seems to be doing really well in my area

I wonder if I should refinance

Its doing well here too. Inventory is low and demand is high.

Also interest rates are ridiculous, definitely look into refinancing.

The company i work for does several things, classification, oil&gas to name a few. In the UK we all took a 10% salary cut till December. I think other regions have done similar, but i dont know exact details as laws vary from country to country, but doing this has saved our jobs. No one is on furlough and Globally we all wfh at the moment.
