Way to go dude. So what party are you running for? Republican? Democrat? Independent? Whig...
If I weren't so full of nervous and a darn good speaker I'd run for president of the United States. But I can dream though.
This is a tiny local government. I will be a republican in a largely democratic town and try to win anyway. The salary is almost nothing but I have never felt more in tune merging my gifts and purpose together. Slogan is "The Right Way" lol. But they have enormous budget surpluses for being such a small town and yet there is also a massive homeless problem. So obviously there needs to be some reform. And there is room to lower taxes.
The next election cycle is a little ways away but this is a huge strategic advantage for campaigning. The old senior 70+ people in office now will never be able to compete with my energy lol. I might steal some Trumpish rhetoric depending who the audience is at the time. Need someone who I know to run against me that would be funny.
Depending on how you do, I might lightly entertain the idea.
I'm going to have to have several people killed though, Hillary Clinton style . 🤭
It is surprisingly easy to do. There often county vacancies scattered around most congressional spots and they pay congress people pretty well.

Thank you. I agree. Some of it is drug addiction and a large portion is mental health. A third portion may be lack of opportunity. But there must be a pressing forward with an expectation of victory regardless of the challenges.

There's a decent book by Robert Heinlein called "Take Back Your Government".

See this is why I would never go for president because you have to lose too much or your soul but local governments are still useful without too much nonsense.

If I was to become president my very first aim would be to not have anybody to work past 45 years of age into law. I wouldn't even mind being the first black governor of my state. I'm very into politics but have no experience in it.
Sorry for ranting about myself on your thread. I just needed to get this off my chest instead of holding it in. I figure this thread is good to spill this out. Some of these politicians of today don't know what the hell they doing.

Yeah I definitely need to practice on my focus. Having a Gemini stellium and air dominant will have you brain scattered. And it'll be hard for me to focus on being a pres. or governor when too many fine women presence in the audience. I know that's gonna put me off focus big time if stage fright don't ruin it first.

I will be spending the next several months campaigning for office as city commissioner for a small city of 16,000 people. I am going to win and be the greatest example of integrity politics has ever seen. The pendulum has swung too far right, and again too far left. My goal is to unify the people economically and spend the city's budget appropriately for empowerment of the people. Please keep my in your prayers. The time is NOW for a revolution to the likes of which no city has ever seen before. I have waited all my life for this purpose, and victory is now imminent.
