The Aqua I'm reconnecting with is a workaholic too. He does construction for a HUGE commercial company, and he LOVES it. He loves working outside. I think it's good for him. . . gives him an outlet for all of his energy (this is a guy who will call me at 11:00 at night out mountain biking - trying to burn off enough energy to go to sleep). His brother owns his own roofing copmany, and often when he's done with his day, and on the weekends, he will go help his brother. It's not uncommon for him to work 7 days a week when the weather is good.

I've asked Mr. Aqua why doesn't he have a girlfriend? He's a very attractive guy. He has a list of reasons, and number one was, "She would have to be used to how much I work. Every girl I've been with gets upset because I work too much."

I can't say that WORK is what gets in the way of his relationships though. I would say that he USES work as an EXCUSE as to why relationships don't work out. Other reasons he has given me for not being in a relationship right now have included *I haven't met any NICE girls in a long time - they are all "cookiemonsters" around here, *they don't want to do the things I like to do (ie - drink beers and shoot pool, have bonfires in the back yard, play poker, ect), *they can't put up with me and don't understand me (which I'm guessing is VERY true) and then there is my personal favorite (such a total "player-line"), *Well, I met one, but she lives SOOO far away (as in ME)! Hahahahaha

Some people do let their "workaholic" life style stand in the way of their relationships, and this is very sad to me. It's not something I can relate to. . . I'm way too into my friends and family to ever let that kind of thing happen.

CancerLOVE that is spooky! That is precisely what the Aqua I'm now seeing said to me when we first met. Even now, and it's only been 3 weeks, he keeps asking me if I'm fed up yet with how unavailable he is lol. It doesn't bother me though, I appreciate the time I do spend with him.

''i have noticed quite a few of my male aqua friends are workaholic and put there careers before there relationships. has anyone else noticed this?''

yes - that's where they're more comfortable I think. Relationships comes with the emotional angle...

On astro POV, all signs reflect some of the qualities of the signs before them (can't remember the term now) - i.e. Capricorns can be workaholics and focused on social standing/community approval, financial security, etc... Aqua can reflect some of this but less focused on personal wealth, more humanitarian endeavours which is passed on to pisces, etc

Must admit, its one of the things i admire of the aqua i speak of, he is very dedicated to his work, not that its "important position" or anything of that nature, but noticable dedication and responsible, respects his work and the enviorment. He is also attending college and very dedicated to that as well. I admire it, and had total tolerance for it, I dont think all do.

Mind frame of mine:

Average people look forward to getting off work, Successful people say "lets get on with it!"

I would say it describes a POV they seem to share!
