Can you explain this certain Aqua, please? - Virgo

Hello. I've been talking to this Aqua (02/16) for over 2 months now. The first weeks were really great, but lately..
he's been a bit distant--an on and off thing. One day he's very affectionate, the next day he's so cold and barely even talks.
I always try to give him space and try to understand.
But it gets really confusing sometimes. He's so moody!

Sorry, trying to figure it myself. I think they start off hot and heavy then cool off abruptly...I received texts every two hours like clockwork then got reduced to a few daily, now I am every other day.

well he has a cancer moon. he's probably not a man with too many words. water= mute. also moody, on and off. just go with it. ok, fine, and shrug, well he's moody, i'll let him be. until he comes off his moody phase. you only know him for a short while, if you are very patient, it will be allright.

oh he's got a lot of fixed in his chart. jeez. good luck. lol (he's more patient than you)

well you've got some good mutable in your chart, so you should just swing it. wwing it, do whatever.

oh and those two planets in taurus, is the big sign of PATIENCE. since it's a very strong sign.
aquarius, having 3 personal planets might give him a feeling of detachment, as if he's not "there" but his mind is probably in space somewhere, especially with that mercury aquarius? and he loves like an aquarius (venus) so that in itself factors his love style .

I have Aqua venus, and I understand that completely. It's probably more of a problem for him with a cancer moon.

Part of it may be that he is unsure of you, and it's not really about YOU so don't take it personally. Aqua venus is loyal, but we are only gonna want to be loyal to someone who understands us, isn't going to have unrealistic relationship expectations, and/or isn't going to jump down our throat if we are distant sometimes. Maybe he is making sure that you are able to check all of those boxes.

Other times when i am on/off distant is just dealing with the reality of commitment. In the beginning it's all fun, but after a while i feel some impending doom or entrapment in the near future, and i'm like.. no, no, NO! NO!!! I can't do this!!!
But if the person is worth it i will let them know my boundaries and get over it.

Aquarius dominant people are just not going to consistently be up your ass with affection. Not now, not ever. It doesn't mean we like you less than someone who is. With his cancer moon, I'd guess that those two sides of him are currently in conflict... the part that wants to be emotional with U and the part that wants to be breezy with you.

Stay independent, don't rely on him for reassurance, enjoy the time you spend in contact and keep it light hearted and fun, don't fret the small stuff, don't chase him, be patient, be his fun friend so that the time he spends with you is a good feeling for him. At times when you're feeling insecure or confused, just keep in mind that if he keeps contacting you, he likes you. Learn to read the actions like that, for example, and don't expect words and big gestures of romanticism.

How does he respond when you just act as yourself? Meaning you text him as you want and as frequently as you want. Does he tell you or give you any signs that you're bothering him?

Sometimes he seems okay with it, but other times, I get a one word reply so I just stop initiating contact when I sense that he isn't in the mood. But it confuses me because when I ignore him, I hear from him again.

Sorry, I'm still new to astrology and still learning.
I'm curious, does his Cancer moon make him a bit of the jealous/territorial type?

I know. I think I got used to being showered by his affection, his 'I miss you's' and all that,
so the sudden change in him caught me off guard. It's like 'WTH did I do?' lol

Yes, I'm not very patient and I absolutely hate being ignored. lol but since I really like this guy, I'm like 'okay... a little more patience' until it gets to the point where I tell myself 'oh wth.. I don't care anymore!' then next thing, he's back to his sweet old self again. So confusing. O_O

Thank you very much, augustmoon. I agree with him not being consistent with affection. I do feel that he cares about me, just not very good at expressing it. And when I don't expect it at all, he'll just blurt it right out how much he misses me.. and loves me. o_o

I can tell you patience is important. I also lack it completely which is why I do my best to try.

Your insecurity is all in your water venus. We're needy and have a problem with gauging interest so I can see how his moodiness throws you off.

Don't fret. Use the silliness in your chart (mutable) and the cardinal to focus on other things while he's not around or moody.

Most importantly..do not jump to conclusions.

I've dealt with that Aqua Venus/Taurus Mars combo.

There is a dettachment about them that brought any insecurity I didn't know I had to the surface. All this happened in the first 2 months.

I remember one night I was lovey dovey and I told him I loved him..to which he replied "You're my best friend". I immediately panicked "What are we doing here? Was I wrong all along? Is this a FWB? Holy hell let me get out of this apartment now".

Meanwhile he was looking at me like crazy "It's the best compliment I could have given you". Stopped me dead in my tracks.

That venus is a great teacher for us crabapple venuses.

Just don't expect consistency in affection - don't take it personally, Aqua's are like this with EVERYONE.

Ah I'm a little confused. Do I mirror his action and not overly show affection? I don't smother him but sometimes though I sense that he's a bit distant when I don't give him attention. Does that have something to do with his Cancer moon?
