Disappearing Act: Virgo/ Aqua...lost cause?

Being a Virgo supposedly it shouldnt work and I see why. The communication is kind of lax. Not even every other day. Sometimes DAYS will pass and then out of the blue he'll be like: Hi. We went on a date about two weeks ago. We've been conversing for little over a month. It was FABulous, then the days that followed were ok. He asked me out last Thursday then Friday right when I got out of work text that he could make it because someone at work called out. Said he felt bad then we'd have to do dinner another time. I said: ok and he said sorry again and that he felt bad then I replied: ok good....but as a joke because he's light and funny like that and so am I. Not sure how he took that because I thought he'd respond and I'd make fun of him but the didnt and then I felt awkward so I never continued. Perhaps I started liking him too much (I was on the fence before) so now I havent heard from him in a few days and Im like...did I do something? I dont want to seem desperate or "that girl" but I cant help but wonder why the communication was pretty steady and now at a stand still. Is this normal Aquarius behavior? I have a good guy friend of mine who is an Aqua and he does disappearing acts ALL the time. Reading blogs about it over the last few days and postings it appears to be a character trait. Questions Aqua: should I just be done with him or see if he'll come around? Im the type that once Im finished I move on and typically you cant win my favor again... Any advice?

Slow down, they do this all the time. He likes you but he doesnt know how much. They move slow and test the waters and dont always give feedback on where you stand with them.
Try and think of him as a good friend and keep the pace light and gentle.
Dont chase him or express to much emotion but you can express a little fun interest like "hey hansome, have a good day and enjoy the sunshine"
Also mirror him, time is not of the essence for him, so he isnt counting how long its been since you spoke & he probably isnt worried about the little joke you made...he is simply living life and checks in with you when ur in his thoughts so try & do the same & have fun in your world and let him catch up to your feelings.
Once he is truly sure of you if he gets there...you will hear more from him, but again, this takes lots of time.

If you want more emotion, communication, steadiness, and romance...aqua may be too much hassle for you.
They try your patience over & over....some people need a more upfront or straight forward approach.

Wow. Thanks MeToo, thats really sound advice. Im not rushing or pushing it. Perhaps its my Moon in Gemini or my Venus in Libra but once I stop hearing from you, I stop thinking about you which means I move on rather quickly. I do really like his energy and when we did converse more it was awesome. Its not like its been weeks and weeks or some tragic torrid affair but I wasnt expecting the disappearing act! Oh well...for now Ill just do my own thing and watch Kazaam or sit in the closet with some porn.

Funny thing is... I have two Aquarius male friends that I hear from in spurts...like we'll text or hang out strong like weeks and weeks and then they'll disappear for weeks lol I should have known...but of course because I had invested romantic interest in this one...I was like: "Oh no!" I just thought I had done something wrong but I guess its their nature.
