Human Weakness

Why do you suppose it is difficult for Saturian-types (Caps and Aquas) to accept human weakness from themselves and others?

I.E. You can have no problem giving to charity but find the thought of being (on the receiving end of someone's) charity, intolerable.

I think it's a weakness or vulnerability issue, having a lot if pride, too much perhaps. They can't stand someone else feeling "sorry" for them. They can have compassion for others but lack the ability to have it for themselves or be on the receiving end. I have this issue myself, Virgo saturn though. It's a double edged sword bc sometimes I need that compassion and I want it, but have a hard time accepting it. I have this need to always be strong, and come out the other side on my own.

Overly "Independent" or (Emotionally/Materially)Self-Sufficient?
Pride I could see being a thing as well.
On top of having higher expectations on themselves then they do on others.
Not allowed to wallow in their pain, emotions or frustrations, just deal with them and move on. Since irrational displays smears the image they project unto the world and compromises their self-image.

Sounds like a good place to start. Anyone agree?

I definitely see myself a self sufficient I don't mind asking for charity when i need it but it makes me feel very uncomfortable when someone is constantly treating me like a charity case.

My cousin always pays for me wherever I go, I'm very grateful of him but its ridiculous how much he spends on me when we go out, he wont let me pay for him the only chance I have of paying for him is buying something and leaving it at his house or getting to the bill before he does....its a Fijian thing but yeh I love him but it makes me feel uncomfortable.

With family aside I know all too well that when you accept something then you owe, yes there are genuinely nice people out there but I watch too much Judge Judy to know that its smarter to keep your money to yourself because lending makes you the enemy and owing it makes you and enemy as well.

I don't know but it's so true.

This doesn't apply to me as much, but that's to do with my Cancer rising. I like being pampered. 😄

Yeah. Never lend to family, it's treated as a gift and expecting to be paid back will lead to a court battle.

Possessing to much pride will starve you

But pride is a defect
and defect is a weakness.

Personally, since I was 13 I HAD to give all of me to my family in order to keep things going (divorce of my parents, my mum was drinking, had to take care of her and my younger siblings etc etc etc) — somehow that made me the person I am and I GIVE freely because in the back of my head it's like —if you don't then everything will break down?? but when it's my turn to receive I feel bad and not worthy. It has nothing to do with pride, more with —do I deserve this? I don't want to bother others, I have to be strong?? I know it's stupid and even though I'm 25 now I still have a really hard time receiving help/gifts/favors/support. Like a little voice in my head that whispers —you are the strong one, don't you ever become weak and bother other people, you have no time for that because if you are weak, who is going to support the others—

So I still have that mentality of the family supporter in my head although it's overdue since YEARS. Rather I cry all by myself and work through my ish alone before I ever bother the ones close to me. I should learn to accept being vulnerable from time to time.

I have no problem with charity 🙂 I wish it happened more often.

LOL! Of course you're entitled to your opinion. But so am I and I believe that Virgos act as people pleasers.You do it because you want others to like you.Caps and Aquarians are not much concerned about that.And it's wrong of you to assume that it's only Virgos that care about family,sacrifices,love and happiness of their dear ones.Aquas and Caps are as much capable of doing that.I have a family,husband, caring friends ,happiness AND a lot of self respect.It's good that you believe in being humble, good for you.I can be humble and still have a pride so I guess I have both qualities in me 😄 I guess we should just agree to disagree.
