Anyone use those energy efficient lightbulbs? I'm thinking of switching to them after I saw a demo today. I like how they look all swirly and stuff and reduce the amount of energy they use but are they really that reliable? Also I'm a big fan of saving money on my next hydro bill hahahahaha. So anyone? Hopefully by switching to them I can tell my roommates that it'll be less of a burden on them to to pay the rent.
Lightbulbs
Which one resembles natural light more? I don't want it to look like I walked into an interrogation room when I turn on the lights. And forever meaning FOREVER or are we talking about 3-4 years tops? Are they cheap too?
Well seeing how the Canadian dollar is almost up to par with the USdollar Imight as well get them down south via FedEx or something because the stuff up here is rather expensive now since the boost. So the white light ones are too bright I'm guessing. Funky is always good in my books. Plus saving money is awesome. Do they generate the heat the regular filament ones do? Because you know after a few hours of use the old ones get pretty damn hot and can heat up a room pretty well. Do the EE ones do the same thing? Because I'm thinking less energy used means less heat it emits.
Awesome. just awesome. I'm going to go pick some up tomorrow morning then. Plus the swirly ones look cool. It's like a little squiggly pig tail ahahahahahaha! As for Canada taking the US over I'm guessing reverse manifest destiny?

Ohhh I got those all over my house!! My family decided to use those due for the lesser energy then and save some money! Go for them!
Hi Starblue! You're new lol. The main reason is I want to cut costs on the bill because once winter hits we're going to need to stock up on food because no way am I freezing my ass off just for a quart of milk. That and the electricity is friggin' expensive now.
Ecuador? Why Ecuador? And don't answer by saying "Why not Ecuador?". I've got frequent flier miles so that isn't that big a problem. Also the company pays for most of my trips lol. You could always rent a boat too. Sailing's always fun. Unless you're going to jump into the hull of a freighter to get to Ecuador.

Hey there DK09.......nah I'm not new..... more of a lurker than a poster.......but I do post once in a while........nice to meet ya!
well saving money especially in the winter time .....sounds good!!

Sailing is fun!...but expensive--Unless i play pirate. Or stow away might work too.
Ecuador is the only place affordable enough for our weakling, little half-pint of a dollar.
Here's the plan: I can swim to Ecuador, rent a donkey and travel through the mountains...maybe stop off to pick some coffee beans to help finance my flight home, all while living off llama milk and wild caught centipedes. That is what my dollar can buy. I am proud to be an American.
That is the best plan I've ever heard. Except I'd hijack a plane from a Columbian druglord halfway through and skydive my way to Ecuador.

This sounds like something M would say hahahahha! Well then since you lurkers like to watch I'll put on a show. Not now though. I have idears but they need to be tested out before they can come to fruition.

Really? Skydiving is one of my favourite things to do when I'm out west or in the States. I mean the feeling of flight and just free falling at a thousand miles an hour without a care in the world. I just wish a bird would fly by me and give me a high five though. As for my shows. I'm working on it. I'd like to write my own sitcom one day. Maybe send it to the FOX network because they'll take a chance on anything.

I have some. I hate it! Its so dull and I dont think this light works well when applying makeup...looking in the mirror in general.
You women and your makeup. Always gots to look pretty don't you lol. Anyways I just changed the entire Apartment's bulbs to the new eco-savers I bought. Got me a box of 90 just in case. I love shopping at the hardware store. It's funny my roommates were all wondering what the hell was going on. Hopefully this'll cut down costs over the long run. I sat for an hour playing with the lights today watching the swirlies get lit up. My gf walked in and just shook her head because she never saw a guy so amazed by light fixtures. But I mean come on this is sick.

LOL, freak!😛
Im sure Amy's used to it by now.🙂
Well I dont wear make up often but I did recently and I tell you I HATE THAT LIGHTING!

I don't think she'll ever get used to me. Makeup is wack. I ate lipstick before and it doesn't taste that good.
It's because people are hesitant when it comes to change. Usually when you want to get things to change you do it one thing at a tie bit by bit. People will follow suit once they see progress. And if it doesn't go that well you could just break all the lightbulbs and make them get new ones. Let the light bulb revolution begin!
