there is a level of emotion that is acceptable?

I keep reading on here that Aquarians have no emotion.

Bollocks!

Showing them and feeling them are two different things.

Sadness, anger, excitement, depression....all emotional states. I'm pretty sure you'd have seen all of them.

To have emotion is not necessarily to insist on displaying it for the world to see.

How come people have to SEE it in order to believe it's there?

You don't see love, yet people are happy to believe it exists. Same with air, with aliens, with ghosts.

Lobotomy, anyone? Seems all Aquarians get one at birth, judging by the insane amount of times I've read we lack emotion.

Just b/c I may not cry at a funeral doesn't mean that I'm not just as devestated as those who are actually balling their eyes out!

Just b/c I don't cry in front of all of my friends when something is bothering me doesn't mean that I don't cry at all. Do people ever consider that we might actually just prefer to cry/suffer alone & in the dark?

An astrologist once told me that Aquas, when they're going through something rough, grieve like dogs do. When dogs sense they are dying, they go off to themselves, even though everyone would assume that in such a hard time, people would want to be around as much people, love & support as possible. Trust me, the dog that goes away to him/herself to die is none the less any less hurt they are dying than the dog who goes & cuddles up to its loved ones every night.

This is also an argument very present b/w males & females. Whereas females are known to be MORe"emotional" than men, studies are showing that this is not necessarily true. Women may be more prone to actually DISPLAY/show whatever emotions they are feeling moreso than men do, BUT make no mistake about it, men feel the same amount of hurt, sadness & sorrow that a woman feels. Just b/c he doesn't cry in your face when you break up with him (example) doesn't mean that he's not still hurt.

Hell if anything, there's more of a chance that someone who expresses their emotions might not even be genuine moreso than the person who doesn't express their emotions at all. You can be the loudest person at the funeral all day; there's a BIG chance that the person who is the most SILENT is probably the 1 suffering the most.

I try to tell people all the time that Aquas are actually VERY sensitive & emotional. Hell, our emotions are SO COMPLEX sometimes that it's almost easier for us to hush, be silent & not display them at all vs. trying to put our thoughts into words, getting tongue-tied and/or taking the risk of further confusing someone.

Now I will say though that Aquas are very good at (moreso than other signs) managing their emotions. We are good at hiding our emotions, BUT not necessarily b/c we're trying to "decieve" someone or not even b/c we don't have them at all. It's moreso that an Aqua would rather feel completely content/safe within their OWN emotions before throwing them out there for others. And as most people who've actually taken out the time/patience to get to know their Aquas, everyone knows that the same ole things that affect/hurt regular human beings in general ALSO hurt/affect us Aquas.

Anyone who has a brain has emotions. Just b/c you express your emotions doesn't mean that you are even being true to who you really are and/or that what you're expressing is actually how you even feel. So many people live so much in their emotions that they literally cause more confusion & loss of respect from others b/c of how UNgenuine they can seem when they actually DO express their emotions. Aquas fear this, so we take more pride in making sure we know exactly how we feel moreso than worrying about someone calling us "emotionless" all b/c we're not yet ready to express our emotions.

Aquas perfer to live in the "logic" more than the emotion. Everything we go through in life doesn't always have to be "felt." Plus, people don't realize that 99% of the time we don't express our emotions to someone is b/c we don't yet trust them. If they'd spend more time trying to get to know us & being patient instead of giving up prematurely & just assuming we don't have feelings at all, they'd learn that we are just as capable of feeling normal every day human emotions just like everyone else.

Plus Aquas find different ways to express their emotions. For example, instead of crying at a funeral like everyone else, we may put our heads down with our hands covering our faces. To those who truly know us well, this particular kind of gesture says "devestation" just like someone actually outwardly crying would.

It's because our emotions don't happen the way people expect. For every person who has told me I lack emotion, I've had another tell me I am ruled by my emotions (like the leo dude).We are either too passionate and excitable for people to handle or not showing enough. I'm pretty sure the problem is with everyone else and not us though...😉
