Our tomboy rep?

Why do a lot of websites say that we are really men disguised as women? lol I find it a little bit offensive.
I'm not "one of the guys" and I hope most of us aren't either because being told that you're one of the guys is not exactly a good thing. I don't ever want that title...lol I'm a girl and I will never become one of the guys.
I also have no interest in sports or outdoor activities whatsoever....well besides traveling lol
What about you girls? What do you think about our tomboy reputation? Do you like it or hate it?

I'm neutral but more leaning towards dislike lol The whole butch image is not so hot and I kinda wish we didn't have this rep...lol

Well I think It has more to do with our demeanor and personalities. I look very girly but my attitude and personality can be considered masculine at times. I was talking and explaining how I felt about a certain situation to my aqua friend one time and she replied wow your masculine. lol idk what it was I said that made her say that but it's how she felt I take no offense. I can be aggressive, aloof, cold, opinionated, direct, very ambitious all things generally associated with men. But whatever, I make no apologies for It either. In the same token I can be emotional, passive , receptive, submissive usually things associated with feminine energy. There are so many layers to people we can't let the descrip of a Aries woman tell us who we are. We're multi demensional woman, just like all other woman sum signs. I have seen feminine energy woman act masculine as well. General astro descriptionsI think should be taken lightly because there is a whole chart to make up ones personality.

So when they say we're masculine they're not necessarily saying that we're harsh and aggressive like men or anything like that?

Is being strong willed and independent a masculine trait nowadays? lol

Im constantly told I am such a dude--- and yet I am overly obsessed with my hair-- I change colors I change cuts, blow it out, straighten it, wear it curly etc... make-up ALWAYS a must.. cute clothes.. cute shoes... my car is girlie, my desk at work is girlie...

But when it comes to the way I talk-- I am a new yorker & italian so I come off hard, strong & loud. I burp, I smoke, I drink, I curse more than anyone I know, I will get in your face and fight you if I have to (all 5 feet of me) & I love sex... I have grown men at my job afraid of me because I am SO over the top aggressive sometimes-- they all cater to me now in a matter of a month or so they have all learned not to fuck with me because I will bury them. People underestimate me because I am tiny-- they think I am 20 something, they think I am right outta college & don't know a lot-- they learn fast once I open my mouth. I DO NOT like to be treated like I am stupid or beneath ANYONE--- & will go out of my way to show that I am smart & capable & NOT to fuck with me.

My non-dude aspects is that I cannot juggle multiple guys like they can do with girls... I have tried seeing more than 1 guy at a time-- its not me, I feel bad for some reason regardless of the fact that without being in a commited relationship I am free to do what I want--- It's just not in me to be that way.

are u freaking kidding me? aries chicks are the most balanced ones ever, my new aries friend she is dressing for practicality, but when we went out to a gordon ramsays restaurant here in nyc she dressed up so well with such classy taste i was surprised

Very interesting. I'm beginning to sort of understand this whole masculine thing. I might start taking it as a compliment haha Thanks everyone! and I'm so proud of my tough fellow Aries women! lol

there's definitely masculinity, they/you are the kind of girls that can do anything themselves which is annoying with anyone else because others can do it these things too, but pretend to be tender and scared for their crown to fall off.

No I think they are saying that. But why should we be ashamed or shunned for things that are inherently within us. I think it just balls down to owning both energies, and being confident in our abilities. There are going to be some who appreciate us and some who won't, but that's life.

Sometimes being harsh and aggressive is whats needed to get the job done, depending on the job lol. And I'm glad I have the balls to do the job.

Lol! The other day I gave a stranger hell for encroaching on my table at a park. He tried to disrespect and shut me up by telling me to go bake him a cake. I took out my tazer from my bag and made it spark a few times so he knew what it was and told him to say that to me again!

He un-encroached very quickly!

I'm a tomboy at heart but ever since I turned 18 I've been a girly girl but at work and uni I get on better with guys because girls (apart from the cool ones like Aries, Leo, Sags and Libras) are bitches and don't seem to have a brain of their own. I like to think Aries girls can do what a guy can do and think like a guy but at the same time do it in a feminine way without looking masculine.
I still like a guy to be a guy but I don't NEED him to do something for me when I know I can do it myself.
