It appears to me that there is something that's a contriction to what the Aries wants in life and so, I go right to the horses mouth to ask.
From listening to the Rams talk and how they value life, their aim of finding peace and contentment, their desire to be in a hormonious relationship .. it would seem logical to assume that a person who fits "with" them in this aspect would be the person they search for to share their life with .. yet, that's NOT who they seek out .. instead, they are attracted to people who are in opposition with them for the purpose of having a challenge .. they gravitate towards people who seem uncooperative with them, competitive with them and who have a desire to control the Ram.
I'm not sure I get this .. certainly, I understand that there's a thrill in a challenge .. but, from the Aries I know .. they spend a lifetime in turmoil being with another who wants power over them, which makes the Ram NOT experience what they "claim" to be wanting .. peace in life to "share with" .. they end up in constant battles because they seek out the exact opposite of what they need.
"We are at our happiest and best when we are striving for victory not when we actually achieve it. It is the journey, not the destination that excites us!"
That would explain "living in the moment" .. every new path in the journey is another moment to experience and cherish .. when the end of the path presents itself, there's no excitment because nothing new is there to embrace. How old does the Ram have to be to find satisfaction in finding "home" .. the end of the journey? How old are you?
Getting there .. the journey .. the thrill .. the excitment ..
For what?
Just to start all over again? And what about the other person that was strung along, all the while thinking that they were embracing someone who filled them to the brim with love and care? Toss them to the curb, with little regard?
What does it matter to the Aries who gets hurt, so long as they are having fun along the way?
That just doesn't seem real enough for me .. I'd rather it be in fantasy .. in there when the end comes .. he still loves me.
There's a couple people I know who are with Aries, and for some reason, which I haven't figured out yet .. the Ram actually likes their partners being mean to them, treating them badly .. the only thing I can figure is that the Aries thinks they are a mission to tame .. it's crazy, really, because my friends don't WANT to treat them that way, but, the Ram wants them to. It's like if my friends are nice to them, the Ram resents it and starts a fight .. it's wierd .. seems backwards.
But, I guess it's back to the journey thing .. if they get too settled and happy, then the end of the road approaches and all the fun has to end too .. hell, I don't know, that's just how it appears.
So, here's another question .. the Ram's aim is to master .. well, what if you can't tame another person? What happens when you run across someone who will NOT allow you to rule them in any way? Do you walk away in defeat?
The reason why I ask all these questions is because one day, I'm gonna find him and I have to be prepared, because I have to know how to get him to concede and accept defeat.
Personally I don?t like easy, but don?t like being controlled either. In the pursue of getting the difficult I may be temporarily controlled by the other person... until I get it 😄...
"The Aries DOES NOT HAVE TO TAME. That is a common misconception."
I'm starting to grasp this, talking to you, FB and several others in here. However, this is how it appears to non-Ram's .. it's difficult for people to look under your protective shielding to see this .. for the outside seems so hard and harsh to many.
"My ex-gf had tried to manipulate me into making me jealous that she had kissed another guy on new years. I told her, that her transparent attempts at making me jealous so that she could feel wanted was disgusting and immoral and hung up on her."
I hear you .. I can't stand that either. One boyfriend of mine tried something similiar, wanting me to be possessive and jealous of him .. he got ditched. To me, that's not REAL .. that's just seeking attention on the superficial level. The attention I have to give is for the sake of my partner feeling cherished and adored, because I love him ..
Just about everyday, a verse from an Eagle's song runs through my mind:
You can spend all your time making love You can spend all your love making time
That just makes me both, quiver and shutter inside .. I think because it's apparant to me that a lot of people DO INDEED spend all their love making time .. and it's not suppose to be that way, at least, not from my perspective.
solitas, have you ever thought of becoming a 'romance novelist' or writer in your spare time... i'm thinking now, with your deeper, more reflective ascended Aries, combined with planet Mercury -'writing and communications' in watery Pisces; (there may of course be more influences in your chart, these are just my two) my guess is, you could very well be a 'born natural at it...'with so much to say, believe and dream about between each page.' Could even be cathartic. But of course, this would be something you would have to be interested in for yourself, and be dedicated to.
..anyway, just a passing thought, until of course, the (real) deal happens for you. 🙂
Here is some more; better info. on Mercury in Pisces for you: 'Pisces is the sign of psychic revelation, and Mercury in this sign gives you a subtle and intuitive mind. There is an intriguing air of mystery about the way you think. You don't logically arrive at conclusions; you seem to get flashes of knowledge or sudden feelings, that are not based on previous facts or circumstances. Sometimes you will make a pronouncment, and afterwards what you say will turn out to be true. You have an accurate intuition. As a Mercury-Piscean you are imaginative and creative, but at times may feel unsure or confused. You have deep sympathy and understanding for the foibles, failings and follies of other people. In your opinion, everyone, including a liar, has his own truth. You have such sensitivity to your environment that you cannot work or think striaght, when there is anything or anyone upsetting or jarring around you.'
Nursing, med-school are such wonderful, selfless professions... i could really sense your excitement as you spoke of (all) your passions.. 'i had a gut feeling about the writing'..lol (btw, institutions, hospitals, prisons; all are ruled by pisces and the twelfth house; just had to throw that in, but what a coincidence!) 😉 ...continued luck and success in everything you do - or desire to do in the future, solitas.
