I know that I read somewhere that Aries hate being vulnerable... and yes everyone hates being vulnerable. So, my question is: How do you deal with being vulnerable?

Had a tough day to day and got into a big argument with my brother-in-law (who is a Libra) and when I reflected upon it it all came down to my vulnerability and how I HATE to be vulnerable. So how do you deal with it or not deal with it? Do you guys hate it too?

My Venus is in Aries.

So Venus(love&relationships)

i actually hate feeling vulnerable if it comes to love. Ive met a Guy (Leo), which makes me the most weak, vulnerable, girl i've ever been in my entire life. And usually, I never let anyone break down my Guard, to hide that vulnerability. But it happens, and u just end up with a very sensitive girl.

Most of the time, Im very headstrong, and don't let anything affect my heart or emotions. But if it comes to him i have a weakness.

How do i deal with being vulnerable?

I just go with it, & Let the cards play out as they are supposed to.

Yes, I I highly dislike the feeling and I run from it. I think this is why I don't let people get too close, even family. I only ever let one person get very close to me emotionally and, unfortunately, things didn't work out between us, so I think my fear of vulnerability has been made worse. I just keep to myself. I recently discovered that I can confide in a complete strangers online because the people are just that, strangers I most likely won't ever meet in real life. I simply deflect or change the direction of the conversation if it's heading where I don't want it to go. If I feel cornered, I can get irritated and aggressive.

I will listen to your TED talk. Thank you for sharing.

I know how you feel! I feel like I'm the exact way. I think it's because I have trust issues because I've been hurt so many times by a lot of people... family, friends, guys... and instead of dealing with it I push it under the rug. So, I close up because it's easier than feeling vulnerable or weak.. plus it also means I have to admit I'm a sensitive soul.

+1 on the strangers part. I think for me it's that anonymous, cold and distant, computer screen that makes me feel comfortable about opening up.

Not going to lie so posted this for my benefit to find someone that feels like I do. And it's nice to have people that feel the same way. Thank you to the both of you 🙂.

Xtina, thank you for your words! I don't think I will seek professional help as the speaker in the TED talk did. ^_^ I feel that it's something I need to live through and figure out myself. Thank you for the link; I'll check it out. Cheers!

I hope you don't think I was trying to insinuate you need therapy... I wasn't. I just thought you would appreciate the video. And yes I don't need therapy either. What sign are you Lilytree?

No, not at all! I simply entertained the thought after listening to the TED Talk but decided that it's just part of my growth, and I need to get through it in my own way.

I'm an Aries, how about you?

And I agree that it takes courage to be vulnerable. It's very easy to be courageous when you've never even hurt, so the true test of a person's heart is when (s)he is able to be that way after getting hurt. I can now appreciate that.

I'm an Aries too!... Yes, actually here is one of my favorite all time quotes and I never really truly understood it until recently...

"Real fearlessness is the product of our tenderness. It comes from letting the world tickle your raw and beautiful heart."
-Chogyam Trungpa

Yes, on finding you're own way. Personally, I have found it really helpful to write everything down so I can get my thoughts organized and talking to a really close friend helps too. They don't necessarily have to give advice but just being there and letting you open up and being honest really helps. I think the verbalizing of it helps me to remember it.... because it's sometimes easy to forget everything you've learned. It's easily swept up in the fast pace of life.

I do try very hard to put myself out there, and I really don't care what people think of me, I think I don't like being vulnerable in the way of depending on others, even in a romantic relationship to me it's a weaknesses/bad thing to be too dependent on someone else. Also I think it is a very Arian trait, Aries like to do things themselves and they like to be hero like in a way, they don't want to be made to feel vulnerable because we are very emotionally/mentally strong people, and I feel like Arians take pride in that fact.
