your rising sign is the exterior. our outer core. it is the face we show to the world and how we behave in public. when meeting someone new for the first time, you tend to show them your rising sign and eventually your sun sign shows while chatting. hope i'm making sense here.
well if you ever stop to wonder why you seem to get along with sun signs that's not compatible with yours, it's because your rising is the same as their sun sign. so the answer would be yes your rising has something to do with the people you get along with.
Mine is; I'm an Aries sun and Libra moon, 180 degrees apart; literal opposites but compliment each other well. I'm thankful for my Libra, it makes me a much more sensitive and intuitive Aries.
I meant Libra Rising! lol But I'm also Libra moon, so 😛
