Anyone remember this case?

Josep Fritzl, born April 9th 1935 .... locked his daughter up in a dungeon he made in their basement for 24 years, and fathered seven children with her.

From what I understand, to this day he continues to write her letters from prison, begging for her help ..... and never a word of remorse for what he did to her.

I also don't believe for one second that her mother, his wife, had no clue.

Yes, I remember. He took some of the kids upstairs to his wife...told her he found them, or some shit?

This guy is nauseating. And I agree...how could the wife not suspect?

First born was Kerstin, in 1988. It changed little; her imprisonment and her father's visits continued. Stefan was born in 1990 and Lisa in 1992.

When she was still an infant, Fritzl brought Lisa out of the basement in a cardboard box, with a letter from Elisabeth, asking her parents to take care of the girl and warning them not to look for her. The letter seems to have satisfied the welfare office with its authenticity. Josef and Rosemarie adopted the child without raising suspicion as to how or why Elisabeth had left the child with the family she'd apparently fled.

Next, in 1994, was Monika. Fritzl simply brought her upstairs and put her in Lisa's stroller—and waited for his wife to receive the call, presumably recorded, he'd arranged from their daughter. That the Fritzls had a new and unlisted phone number should have been a clue, but it merely baffled Rosemarie, and went unnoticed by the welfare officials.

The part that makes me take notice is the third paragraph.

The daughter calls her mother to tell her that she is giving them another child, which her mother finds the child in the stroller .... but, the Fritzl's had a changed unlisted phone number.

And the mother, Rosemarie, was just baffled? That's all?

The mother, Rosemarie, never looks for her daughter, Elisabeth .... and when the children start coming to be raised, she doesn't bat an eye?

"Around 1981 or 1982, according to his statement,[13] he started to turn this hidden cellar into a prison cell and installed a washbasin, a toilet, a bed, a hot plate and a refrigerator. In 1983, he added more space by creating a passageway to a pre-existing basement area under the old part of the property, of which only he knew.

The concealed cellar had a 5 m (5.5 yd) long corridor, a storage area, and three small open cells, connected by narrow passageways; and a basic cooking area and bathroom facilities, followed by two sleeping areas, which were equipped with two beds each. It covered an area of approximately 55 m2 (590 sq ft). The ceilings were no more than 1.70 m (5 ft 6 in) high.

The hidden cellar had two access points: a hinged door that weighed 500 kg (1,100 lb) which is thought to have become unusable over the years because of its weight, and a metal door, reinforced with concrete and on steel rails that weighed 300 kg (650 lb) and measured 1 m (3.3 ft) high and 60 cm (2 ft) wide. It was located behind a shelf in Fritzl's basement workshop, protected by an electronic code entered using a remote control unit. In order to reach this door, five locking basement rooms had to be crossed. To get to the area where Elisabeth and her children were held, eight doors in total needed to be unlocked, of which two doors were additionally secured by electronic locking devices."




I don't see how anyone could've built this for 2 years without the spouse noticing. The wikipedia article also points out to him priorly abusing his daughter..her running from home and then being brought up.

No way his wife didn't know about it. My guess is she knew full well what had been going on since Elizabeth was 11 and let him satisfy his urges with her.

He also went down there 3 times a day bringing food..the wife never noticed him carrying plates 3 times a day for 24 years? No one is THAT clueless.

this is a very sick man and it still baffles us how the wife did NOT know all this time.
at first even my mother in law said, weellll -- there are 'simple' people out there, but no way, she even comes to realise that she had to have known. Maybe she was AFRAID of him too and didn't want to "leave" him and is just a shadow of a woman. Fear alone made her stop really loving people, herself and the people who needed her. How could she live with herself like that? Maybe, she has a mental disability...who knows, honestly, who knows.

at the letters to his daughter still begging for help? omg. I'm surprised even the mental health admins and workers there allow that. Maybe they never send it to her, because she is still traumatized by that -- i'm sure she wants nothing to do with him. Maybe the authorities there just "read" it, to get an insight look into his sick mind.

i started getting curious of the lives of the Baldwin brother's and their mates/relationships.

So, when I did Chynna Phillip's chart (She's aqua sun/pisces mars/leo moon married to Pisces sun William Baldwin) I had to look at who Chynna Phillip's family line was, since it said that she is connected to the famous John Phillips of the "mamas and papas" of the 60s music genre. I didnt know who they were, so I looked into it, and then I discovered a horrifying INCEST going on with MacKenzie phillips and her father John Phillips. She kept it SECRET until after John Phillip's death. It must have been HORRIFYING for her. Chynna phillips's is the only sister who believed her and supported MacKenzie, but also went down a deep, depressing spiral traumatic confrontation of knowing that her own father did this. The other children were in denial at first.

So many many SECRETS, all family secrets (in the 4th house)

i believe her. she said that she loved her father, but he was a deeply flawed man.

she said, in the video, she loved her father but he was NOT a good man.

and that her family hated that she OPENED up about it because it would "stain" the good mamas and papas name and the name behind it.

People said that she was lying, and discredit her to PROTECT the brand of mamas and papas.

i saw this on Netflix the other day.

I didnt even know they had it. The wife of Josef Fritz is described by her sister as "weak" and Josef fritzl also described her as weak because he had a very domineering mother who beat him so he chose someone who he could dominante over. So it's not surprising that he took on the form of his mother, the controlling, domineering woman who beat him in a way. Yet he describes his mother as someone he puts on a pedastal. I guess because she never abandoned him, and was there for him despite how she treated him.

He said, "I'm not the beast the media makes me out to be" ..... and so that makes me wonder? Did he really do this? Maybe this was all the media slanting perspectives.

I find it also very very strange. that the Fritz monster has cancer moon, because moon represents the mother, she is supposed to be nurturing and kind, loving. ect.

in the tv documentary he mentions that poor Elizabeth was very very REBELLIOUS, and wanted to "tame" and "control" that rebellion.

it's sick and psychotic.

it's like, the one girl who would not listen to him or his tyrannical ways, he wants to control the most.

and he made that cellar just for her. So fucking sick. and where else is she gonna go?? Her mother was also victimized for years, like a slave to him.

He said before his mother was a saint. It was only during the trial he said she was beating him. It was bs.

According to these statements, Fritzl said that he "always knew during the whole 24 years that what I was doing was not right, that I must have been crazy to do such a thing, yet it became a normal occurrence to lead a second life in the basement of my house."

People gradually become desensitized to doing things that hurt others.

He abused her and when she stopped conforming to his rules as a teen he put her there.

It wasn't the first time he did this. He locked his mother up in the attic ...he said it was for weeks neighbours estimated it was for 20 yrs.

He admitted after being convicted of rape he planned to abuse his daughter to express his evil side.

There is a strange logic to it all.

it is strange isn't it? sick.

it's like he wants to NOT get into prison anymore and realizes after his mistake, and error that he will be imprisoned for stupidity.

then he decides to take it into his own FAMILY (cancer, 4th house themes) and the SHADOW side of it.

astrology wise it is spot on.
