Paul Bernardo

He was the Scarborough Seriel Rapist in Canada in the late 80's and early 90's ... raping as many as 20 women before becoming more sadistic than just raping.

He's a Virgo .... August 27, 1964

His wife, Karla Homolka (Taurus) is suspected to have malignant narcissism coupled with hybristophilia .... which it's claimed that because of her illness it was enough to influence him in becoming sexually depraved.

But, was it all the influence of his sadistic wife?

I can't believe that. I think a person can surely influence another ... but, she can't MAKE him rape. Together, they even raped and killed her little sister.

Karla Homolka's sister Tammy was the first to fall victim to her hidden psychopathic tendencies. Her husband developed an obsession with Tammy during 1990, having already been involved in several rapes with the permission of his wife. He had criticized Karla throughout their marriage for not having been a virgin when they met. Because Karla was obsessed with fulfilling his every desire, she sought a way to make it up to him. She offered him her sister's virginity in place of her own. Tammy was 15 years old at the time. The day before Christmas Eve, the couple spiked Tammy's drink and knocked her out with halothane. While she was unconscious, they raped her. Tammy choked on her own vomit during the rape and died. However, the autopsy did not reveal the drugs in her body, so the rape was not detected.

This whole case has been disturbing to me as we lived close by. I think the fact that they killed the sister "by mistake" set the rest of the craziness in motion. I can't believe Homolka is free and is enjoying her life on some island with her family.

How fucked up that she is free.

It sickens me to this day. Those poor girls and their families having to sit and watch those gruesome tapes.

ALSO the 19 victims of the Scarborough Rapist (BERNARDO) are still alive :: not one girl died until Karla Homolka, literally, was in the picture.

She is free because she gave it all up Bernardo and videos??_as they say they made a deal with the devil.

We were all panicked at the time. The whole area was in shock and --grieving when those beautiful girls were found. We all knew someone who knew these families.

Serial Killer Col. Russell Williams and Paul Bernardo went to school together, they knew each other. Did you hear about his guy??

His birthday March 7, 1963.

Bernardo's mom got pregnant with him through an affair. She never revealed this fact to Bernardo until later in his teens and that seem to set him off. Hating his mother and calling her a whore and whatnot.

Bernardo's stepdad was abusing his own daughter.

I guess I can understand how a child would be outraged to find out that the man he'd been led to believe his whole life wasn't his father .... rather, his father was a random.

I mean .... that kind of knowledge to a teenager would be mind blowing.

But, there had to be something else there, something definitely demented and finding that out was the trigger. Maybe he saw things his step-father was doing to (girls) and screwed his association up, idk, but, how horrible to have to live through the fear of realizing this guy is in your vicinity.

But, I'm with you .... Tammy is also responsible, and justice isn't being served if she isn't paying for her crimes.

One of the characteristics that all serial killers share:

"As children, they are abandoned by their fathers and raised by domineering mothers"

When Bernardo's mom revealed to him the fact that he had been abandoned by his real father, it was to hurt him. She would call him bastard and all sorts of other names. He hated them afterwards. Nothing I read indicates that he knew his step dad was abusing his daughter but surely, there must have been signs. The mother knew. Obviously, very dysfunctional.

The only weird serial killer that didn't display the obvious signs was that Col. Williams. He started his craziness in his 40s which is unusual according to the experts. There is no one out there like him.

How sad it is that it happens so often, that typical traits have been established.

Something I think about on this topic .... when I look at people today, I still see men abandoning their children and I still see domineering and controlling mothers, and I still see children being ignored/neglected/lied to/treated like shit.

It's sad that we, as humans, can't ever change. We may think we can, we may think we are evolving ... but, we're not.

We're STILL having to be told:

don't kill
don't lie
love
honor your parents

STILL having to be told.

That's true what you are saying. It makes me sad to see the madness around us and why is it that love does not prevail? (makes me question that quite a bit).

As far as serial killers and what they all have in common :: don't they suffer from some mental disorder, along with abuse during childhood and then a trigger or stressor?

Yes, the fact that she's free is disturbing. And married to her lawyer's brother? How does this happen??

Her husband, Thierry Bordelais, must be a real swell guy to trust her with their three kids.

It's like society doesn't care ... they have someone serving time, so someone is paying.

It's really not about justice, is it?

Homolka is free with the help of the media. They wanted the story and she gave it to them.

They needed her to convict him?

I just thought of this;

What will she tell her 3 innocent children of hers when they grow up about her past?

Talk about screwing them up.

I have read they needed her testimony to put him away for good. In the initial stages, before the tapes were ever viewed, and when they made their deal (a little too hasty --maybe) she was portrayed as the victim. He did beat her repeatedly where she had to be hospitalized.

She did give him up and linked him to the Scarborough rapes.

Hey, I am not sticking up for her but I can't help but wonder how she has been able to be a mother and seem rehabilitated.

I didn't think these types of monsters were capable of that especially after they had been caught.

My boss used to live on the same block as Bernardo.

He talked to the detectives, apparently Bernardo was making a living off snuff films. he sold movies killing people on the black market for thousands.

this was a part of the story they really told the media to keep under-wraps to not encourage future behavior.

i didn't know he sold snuff films.... but bernardo did this for a living. they said the going price for his snuff films were around 50K-100K.

Why hasn't this come out? Do you believe it??

Not sure what Magnotta was doing with that movie he put up on the internet, if it was for sale or whatnot??_ I did search for it and found it though.

Yes, it is disturbing, then when i got around to watching his relationship with Karla, i couldn't believe how far she was willing to go when it got around to her own little sister. he says that she was the one who murdered the other two girls, but theyre both in on it.

Well... I'm not defending Karla but they didn't plan on killing her. It was an accident. (from her perspective--I'm sure he couldn't care less) They wanted to use her sexually while being drugged. When she died, I think Karla's guilt along with the secrecy of what had happened, make her closer to Bernardo in that fked up way. She was doomed to him...
