They can be. Just as guilty of their male counterparts of cruelty against mankind. What I find truly disturbing is how many of them used their despicable art on children. One focused on holding men in their death throes. One tortured and murdered slaves. Another preyed on the elderly. Another crimes against her own sex.
A lot of the above were pre-turn of the century to early on, but all through history it shows this is by no means strictly a male perversion.

'Society' has always been a pretty word. A lovely laquer covering the animus.

This is where I have a hard time. In a case of violent crime I would more than like be bounced out on my collective ass before the jury interview was over.

The jargon and labeling I just knock down like dominos. I don't subscribe to bad childhoods. I can sympathize with that, but don't believe that utterly molds someone. No one has a Von Trapp existence in childhood and it's a random few picking people off.
Insanity pleas I ice automatically. No one truly insane has the capacity to plan, hunt, enact, hide and collect.

Crimes of passion is broad. Too broad. Someone could snap over cheating...or the last bite of cold porridge. I can't definitively say it's crap...but it sure is a skirt to hide under.

Not belittling your opinion at all duchess, just ruminating on the human condition.
