Does It Make You Sign Prejudiced....

To decide you'll never be in a relationship with another person of the same sign of your ex? Or several ex'es. It doesn't have to be just sun, could be a planet placement as well.

Say, you realize that the core differences are way too much and understanding and love take too much effort and work?

Would you base it on one long term experience or would you have to have had several experiences with different people to make that decision?

Or would you say F astrology and keep going for it?

Just curious to what others would think.

I have been with an Aries and Virgo those are 2 signs I dont want to ever try with again...

Although I have an Aqua driving me nuts, no 1 ive been with has made me as happy as she has...despite the drama..

Another Aqua-more evolved maybe...

I'll admit I'll never try with another Gemini. 18 years with the contradictory behavior was enough for me. Doesn't mean I don't like Gems, I do. They are fun and make good friends. I just don't think Gem and cap are good in a relationship.

I guess that makes me sign prejudice.

Seems kind of weak to ditch someone over astrology.

Yeah, it does and to me it's a shame because I don't think astrology should be used to separate people just like many other belief systems do.

But then again every single one of us are prejudiced in one way or another. Especially when we've been hurt in the past, which makes prejudice one of the most common defense mechanisms.

i have two exes...one is a taurus. the other is an aquarius. the aquarius hurt me way more than the taurus ever could, but i would still date another aqua because i get along with them so well, being opposite sun signs. staying the eff away from the bulls though. the guy i dated had a taurus sun, aries moon. i'm a leo sun, cap moon. abort mission!!! or maybe what i should stay away from are aries moons...all the people i've met with that placement can get on my nerves so quickly.

found out my Sag sis's Virgo man has a Libra Venus and Moon. I kindof thought he had either Leo/Aqua in there, and it's strongly suggested by his looks (Lots of long hair and a Lion face too) that he's got dominant leo. He's dominant Libra, with Saturn libra as well, and the only Leo he's got is in Mars. He might have a Leo rising though.

You don't even need to say "F astrology." You can keep the information (as well as your very transitory and varied experiences) there and with you, yet have a welcoming attitude at the same time.

Thing is, you can't "force" people to like or want someone. It just isn't feasible. The more you "force" the more they will hate. If they like someone, allow them to like them naturally, know what I mean?

In dating, id want to get to know you as much as i can and see whether we could have a fantastic future together (a cap thinking ahead!), id prefer to primarily refer to your characteristics n behaviour around me, around your family and friends, your job and then ask for you birth date and see if there are some traits I should be careful of or like🙂)

My Scorpio mother says this about Aries men. I think it's general (and understandable) ignorance. Especially in matters of the heart, ignorance seems like bliss sometimes. If someone found a toxic pattern while having romantic interests for a certain sign, he or she would perhaps want to become ignorant to someone who may or may not exhibit the same pattern, before ever desiring to find out and risk getting hurt again.

Well it's never fair to judge an entire group of people based on 1 or even 5 experiences you've had.

I can understand though why someone would start noticing that it seems a coincidence that a lot of good OR bad experiences seem to happen with certain signs. How could you not notice that?!!

However, I think I'd take the analyzing a step further, go deeper & ask myself what traits all of them had in common that lead to the relationship/friendship not working out, moreso than I'd zero in on their sign.

For example, I've had a lot of bad experiences with Taurus. But when I look deeper, it's not Taurus that I have a problem with. It's 1 specific trait like "lack of being spontaneous" that causes the clash. B/c I know that every Taurus is different & that some may have certain traits that others in the same sign don't, I'd rather just say, ok maybe I shouldn't date someone who lacks/or has that specific trait vs. deciding not to date that specific sign as a whole. Get what I'm saying?

The same works the other way around. I like that a lot of Libras & Aquarians seem to be really loyal & understanding. It's technically not an Aquarian or Libra thing. What I really like deep down is just that single "loyal" gene. So me meeting an Aquarian or Libra wouldn't mean that I'd automatically assume that things would work out, nor would I automatically assume that they are a certain way just b/c of their sign. I've studied astrology long enough. I know better lol

For me astrology is not a way to compartmentalize & categorize peopleinto ones I don't want to date or have contact with.

Astrology for me is an exceptionally good way of understanding people different from myself so as to help me better relate to them.

I would probably be up for anything. You would think me being a air sign particularly me being Aquarius that a cancer is a no no for me but I have a good friend who is a cancer, my brothers wife is a cancer... There are things each sign can learn from one another.

Just my thoughts
