Does this Taurus man like me?

So there is this Taurus man I really like that goes to my university. (Venus: cancer/ mars: libra/ moon: leo) I am an aries female and my Venus is in taurus. I am good friends with him and we always talk and sit together in class but I'm getting really mixed messages from him and idk what to think of it. When we are together, I really get the vibe that he likes me. We get along really well, have the same sense of humour and always have a lot of fun. If ever we walk into lecture at different times, he will even actively look around for me and seems really excited whenever he sees me. He even came to a movie I invited him to with a bunch of my friends that he had never met and he introduced me to his friends just recently. When i first started talking to him, he even told me that he used to eavesdrop on my conversations before we started talking because he finds me really interesting. Basically, when I'm with him, I really feel like there is something more than just friendship.

The problem is when we are apart. He will almost NEVER answer any texts I send him. It even took him almost 2 days to reply to a text I sent him about something urgent. The only exceptions to this are when:

1. I tagged him on a Facebook post and he answered almost immidiately. And

2. He sent me a funny video out of the blue the other day to which I replied. He saw the message I sent and didn't say anything else.

This is really confusing me because when we are together, things seem like they are going great, but after class, it's like there is nothing more... I heard that Taurus are really slow when it comes to relationships, but I also heard that they actively pursue the person they have feelings for. Is he ignoring my texts because he doesn't want to lead me on and he just wants us to be friends?
