Friends who are really there..something a Taurus told me

When I was with my ex (Taurus) he used to tell me all the time, "One thing I love about you is that you are there for my family, me, and your friends. But what I don't understand is why you are always there for people who are not there for you. You give up a lot of yourself, but they don't do crap for you. If you went to the hospital, who would actually be there?? Like 5 friends..that's it."

I am a libra.. Social. Yes I'm there for my friends and there are many. I just went to see a friend who was admitted to the hospital and is in the ICU right now. (He's also a Taurus.) Out of his friends, a Pisces, a Cancer, and myself have gone to see him. (His best friends are Leo, Pisces, Cancer, Aquarius, and Aries.) When I asked my ex who he thought would actually come see me, he pointed out a female Taurus (he didn't like the male Taurus I went to go see), a male Pisces, a female Aquarius, and 2 Scorpios (although he would get mad at one because I did more for her than she did for me.) But for sure he said the Aries would not even go. He did not like her, said I did way more for her and she is too selfish to care.

Anyway.. It makes me wonder. What sign are you and what friends (signs) can you actually depend on? Someone you know no matter what, they will be there for you?

Besides my sister and mom - definitely my 2 Virgo friends, a sag, a cancer and a pisces. Beyond them, I would be shocked!

I just recently (this last year) became friends with a Virgo. She is awesome. So sweet and considerate.

What do you think your ex intentions were in telling you that?

One sign that took me in when i got kicked out of my house for a bit was my sag friend. But my core group of friends consists of 2 sag's 1 cap, 2 gems, 1 cancer, 1 scorp, 3 virgos, & 1 pisces. But i'd be there for them and even there for any of my friends who aren't as close to me. I don't need someone to have my back but it's great to know i have people who do.

I feel like Sags are such caring people as well. Good thing you had him/her.. My BF is like my best friend now.
Exactly.. I don't need anyone to have my back as I am a very strong person (which people tell me this often) but of course I agree, it is nice to know that they would be.

But maybe in his mind he tried to protect me. I don't know. I had to stop talking to my Taurus friend because he hated him so much.. It was weird

He was more family oriented though, always there for his family.

I should add that he could have been really jealous and didn't trust me because I was more social than him. He felt threatened by the Taurus guy because we called each other brother and sister.

Wow... thank you for sharing your story. I totally appreciate people like you and I can relate to a lot to your story/personality. In the past two years though, I have tried to be more aware of this and try to help myself first... make sure I am in balance before I offer help. (I have Libra Asc, Venus, Pluto and NN - I also have Venus, Pluto and NN in the 12th house... both energies known for helping others in need).

I have also found out the hard way that even though you could be there for many... it's surprising to see who actually returns the favor. But... I don't want to put any energy onto THAT.

Those who HAVE been there for me:

- My Cancer husband 100% of the time. He is AMAZING!
- My Aqua grandmother, Scorpio uncle/Godfather and Taurus mother: They all have limits now (due to health/age) but are always there when they can.
- My Virgo brother and Capricorn cousin
- Friends: My Aries best friend, Sag best friend and Libra best friend
- My Aries Bro in law.

SO: 1 Cancer, 1 Aquarius, 1 Scorpio, 1 Taurus, 1 Virgo, 1 Capricorn, 2 Aries, 1 Sag and 1 Libra!!! 😄

I also have to add... I am VERY private when I am having deep issues... those are the people that pushed to find out and get involved to help. I have many other friends that have also been there for me in smaller ways and different scenarios... I just don't see them often enough for them to get involved (many live in different countries).

I understand..the best friend who has been there for me when I was at my lowest after my divorce was my Scorpio friend. She let me cry on her shoulder for days. I will always cherish her. She is truly one of those people that puts all others before herself. We lean on each other when we need to, which is really rare since we are both the types to deal with it on our own. She is the one who helped me leave my ex. She looked me in the eyes and said, "Haven't you had enough?"

I liked how you focused on the positive. Thanks for your input. I enjoyed reading it. *Glad you have so many people who care about you! 🙂

Well, if I was in the hospital, probably I'd get a visit from Leo, Cancer, 2 Virgos, Aries, 2 Libras, Scorpio, Taurus and Pisces might come too.

Maybe I'm too optimistic, but by far all these have been helpful when I was in trouble.

See that's how I am. Very optimistic. I just figured if I really needed something, they'd be there. But I'm not going to be helpful only to those who are there for me at the time.
