has anyone ever gone to a psychic

what kind of experience did you have?

i've been to one to give it a try (i'm one of those people who will "try just about anything once"); she was just someone who was trained in tarot and astrology, not someone who actually had any real psychic abilities. she read the cards and told me that i drowned myself in a previous life and i have negative energy following me.

does anyone know of one that actually has a "gift?"

i went to one. i had a good experience but i didn't realize it at the time because i didn't know what to expect and i was a little unprepared because i went on a whim. afterward i did some research about psychic readings and you're supposed to have questions you want to discuss planned out (which i didn't). afterward i felt like i had so many unanswered questions (which is fine because it's not like shes a fortune teller revealing the future) and she sensed that i was frustrated at the end and asked if i wanted a refund but i said no. she gave me her card and told me to call her after i had some time to think everything through so i called her later that night and i felt much better about the whole thing. I would definitely go to her again, and literally everything she said to me unfolded like she said it would. i probably shouldn't have gone to her while i was in such an emotional state but i know better now. my other mistake is that i kept wanting to discuss things that i had no control over (things my parents were going through). she could pick up on how it was affecting me and my role in it but still, i was trying to ask something impossible i think. I wish i had recorded the reading because there was so much information to digest. if you want i'll send you a PM about what she told me specifically and then how it played out over the next year because most of it really did happen 🙂

I've been to one...it was alright...just alright. I was a little dissapointed. So far all that she has said has come true though. I was not as prepared as I should have been as Ewe mentioned. I felt like I got the short end of the stick. My girlfriend got the pyschic I made the appoitment with and I got her supposed pyschic daughter (hmmmm...not so sure about that). But, she was pretty right on about several things. Maybe it does run in the family 😉
I'd really like to go again though and see the mom.

so with these questions, then how much are they really "divining" and how much are they just reading into your concerns and giving advice and assuming what will likely happen? for example mine said that someone i really loved would come back into my life, and well yes he did for a brief time but that's so vague and so likely anyway.

my ex libra went to a psychic years ago who told him that he would relocate for his job and that he and his girlfriend at the time would not make it. that all came true, but i suppose that could be just coincidence. and also if someone tells you your relationship isn't going to survive, doesn't that put doubts in your mind and kind of lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy?

I agree DA. free will suggests we have total control and we don't. We have no control over our race/ethnicity and what kind of culture we are born into. Anyone who says those factors don't make a difference in what kind of person we become is misguided

well, we don't have 100% control is what i meant. obviously we have a good deal of control over ourselves and our actions 🙂

I do, I have known of some psychics that are very accurate...But in saying that, it is my opinion that a real psychic (not one of those frauds!) picks up on the MOST LIKELY outcome in any given situation...I don't believe that it is set in stone. For example: If you make a different choice somewhere along the path to what they think you will make, then it's going to change the outcome of things. That's just my 2c 🙂
