depends on what they talk about. words can be way worst and do more to the soul then a smack in the face. this i know for sure. the pain from a smack goes away over time and you can just smack back for pay back, but words that is a whole other game. I have had both a beating and verbal abuses. i will take a beating anytime.

I can't change people. No one can.

What I can do is argue or fight for what I believe in or what I see as right. That is pretty natural in my opinion.

The more important question here is what is seen as right and what parameters are used to determine that. After that the how do we fight for it is the next important question. Wanting to change or improve the world however is never the problem.

However, I thought the main point this video made about us Aquas is that we don't care about other peoples feeling in our pursuit of changing the world. I don't see the problem with that. Feelings have little to no value on their own on the grand scale of things. On that level they only matter as strategic factors.

It's happened to me before. I didnt even know anything had happened there. But i felt the place was weird.

I went to prague once. With my brother. Everyone was saying it was so nice etc (anyone who had been there). And it is. very oldy worldy. Totally the sort of stuff i like. But i kept saying prague .....the city the town ..it was weird ....my brother HATED it ..

I just found out ...part of it ...that we ACTUALLY walked on ...was made out of cemetery gravestones from a huge Jewish cemetery.

It was weird to be there .....everything on the surface was what i should like ..i love history ...i love slavic culture ..i love oldy worldy stuff...people were not unfreindly...but it just felt WEIRD...

Everyone who asked me about prague was like WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT— ITS LOVELY...we stayed to wenceles square the old town square etc to avoid bars that have stag nights etc

You can't see any hebrew because its on the underside of the stones.

If it is guaranteed to benefit the world and increases the overall happiness for everyone: yes.

The problem is that there are no guarantees which would bring us back to the two points of struggle I pointed out.

It's a calculation. If the benefits outweight the negaitives it's a overall net positive.

There are counterarguments to this as this is basic utilitarian theory but saying "muh feelings" is a toothless one.

there is a saying 'one mans heaven is another mans hell' and that comes from feelings. If it dont feel right dont do it. One thing i have learned in my life is that both the heart and mind have to agree, when that happens what you are doing turns out to be the best thing ever. plus feelings are not just in humans but in other animals and they been developing for millions of years.
