Leo & Libra: personal appearance consciousness

I'm both (Libra dominant Leo), although I'm not vain in the sense that I really care about how I look privately.
But I do very much care how I present myself to the outside world and care hoe others perceive me professionally.
My dad (a Virgo) always used to say, "You never get a second chance to give a GOOD first impression".

I know more libras than leos.
this might sound like a typical stereotype , and i mght be totally wrong but that's just my perspective.
I think leos are more of "I gotta look my best" and once they do or think they do look their best, they get all confident. I don't think they care much about people' opinions once they are satisfied themselves
Libra, are more of "do I look good?" and people' opinions would effect them. I also think Libra seek beauty in their surroundings not like leos where its focused on people.
anyway, I don't think all the libras and leos are like that, one-two of the ones I know are concerned about their appearance but the others aren't.

I don't think Leo's are very concerned about their appearance, well not the one's that I've met. I think their confidence comes from their attitude and aggressiveness in getting what they want and being respected. And they hate to lose. That's what I've noticed. I know many Leo Ascendants and they are the one's who I noticed that are very concerned with their physical appearance and take good care of themselves and dress well.
Libra on the other hand IS a sign that cares about their physical appearance, and they tend to have amazing taste and have really beautiful facial features. I also notice this with Taurus, but it depends on the Taurus... Some don't care at all, but the one's that do are very superficial and love to look good.

Libras are inherently superficial, and gravitate towards anything beautiful and flawless (on the exterior).
Leos are simply egocentric and want everyone to perceive (and treat) them as royalty.click to expand
libra is about the "other" so they look for a mirror of someone beautiful, and depending on their charts. someone they can be represented to look good for them too. Also to make them feel proud of themselves. It is a way of their "self" to feel proud, when one looks for the "other".
Leo is ego, the sun shines brightly in Leo, Dignified here. So leo has a strong sense of self. very very strong. They can stand alone, and people will gravitate around them, just like you see the sun and planets, circling around the sun. That is the representation of SUN = leo rules there.
"the other" for Libra because astrologers say Libra sun is in the Fall. It has no strong sense of self like Leo sun does, so when they find a partner, they feel very proud and the strength of their sun becomes TWO suns into one.

Saturn is also weak in the sun, and i've read capricorn is weak there as well, and aquarius is detriment there because it is not egocentric due to the the notion of looking out for "humanity". Of course you meet humble Leos and arrogant aquas, and not Always the other way around due to the placements in charts.
i know a couple of Cancer sun males with Leo moons in the past. lol they are really sweet guys. They seem to know how to draw attention, without trying...so magnetic. people just gravitate to them. Kind of like how Tom Cruise is, but Tom cruise is more expressive. I've only known introverted cancer suns. To me, Tom Cruise is extroverted.
Posted by tizianiI've wondered about this. One of the best dressed people I know, wearing clothes that are a combination of very attractive & high quality (with materials) is a Taurus with Leo moon. I wasn't sure which part of them factored in more, though. She was very appearance conscious as a child too, taking more time than most to dress her dolls well.
I honestly see Taurus as having better taste than both of us.

He always tells me I look beautiful and he truly sees me that way. I am 20 pounds overweight and he never even notices.
As long as I'm doing my fair share of admiring (which I don't mind), he is very happy. They really need to feel adored.
He is extraordinarily good looking man and needs women to be "checking him out" I guess, but I have my fair share of
admirers in addition to another partner (polyamorous relationship) so I'm Ok with it now. If he where my only partner the dynamics

As much as I adore my sweetness, if I ever see him pulling out a hair straightener I'll be running for the hills.
On a side note... my leo venus/moon asked me to punch him in the arm so he tell everyone at the office he was in a fight. I was like WHAAAAAA.................
He wanted his subordinates (employees) to have a vision of him as a pillar of strength and fortitude.
Sometimes I find myself laughing so hard at the sheer absurdity and in combination with the adorable big cat personality I rarely find myself getting angry.

One thing I did notice was when we met his progressed venus at 24 degress virgo. My natal sun is 22 degrees virgo and in the natal his cancer sun is opposite my cap ascendant conjunct his north node exact and his ascendant is conjunct my south node by 2 degrees (double whammy).. We also have natal mars/pluto synastry (double whammy) and saturn contacts so there is a lot of magnetism between us, but I don't think its his leo moon, though the leo moon does fall into my 8th house and that seems quite magnetic. IDK, but my brother was also a leo moon and he passed away in late January. I met this guy 2 months after that. They do have a lot of similar qualities I admire.

When I dated a Libra he would always complement me on how I looked and would say he appreciated that I always looked nice for him. I think Libras and Leo's both appreciate beauty and that's part of the reason we make good matches. I don't think it's a vain thing on either side.

I could lose the weight but I don't really care, I enjoy eating what I want, he takes me to the best restaurants, we have extraordinary passion in bed and out, great chemistry and a lot of fun that would not change one bit if I where 20 pounds lighter or 20 pounds heavier than I am now.

I have much self-awareness which is the result of my ego. My arrogance is relative to my intellect and not my appearance. But I do believe I am quite attractive.

I buy a lot of my clothes from designers who have small businesses and aren't well known, and don't charge a fortune, and I have them customized for my measurements when possible so they fit well (I'm quite small so this is often needed).
I should mention that I don't care too much about name brands or fashion per-say, but what I like and what I think looks good on me. I love getting dressed up, but I prefer being more casual,
I also buy vintage clothes, in like-new condition, or dead stock, for reasonable prices.

It's, of course, a bit of a risk to not be able to try something on before purchasing, but a good designer using accurate measurements can do a surprisingly good job. My lover cancer has a leo moon and venus. He is SOOO DRAMATIC when he blow dries his hair, he does a show blowing me kisses, winking and tossing his mane around like hes in a pantene commercial!
He also buys the most expensive suits out and only buys THE BEST labels, dresses impeccably and has the color coordination skills of an artist! He can seamlessly put plaids, stripes, colors, stripes etc. together in a way Ive NEVER seen a straight man do, not ever!
My ex has those placements as well, he has this clothes obsession and rings obsession too! his wardrobe is almost all black but he got a style. he's better than me in hair straightening 😆 !
As much as I adore my sweetness, if I ever see him pulling out a hair straightener I'll be running for the hills.
