Posted by MontgomeryIt's particularly cool when deadstock is very vintage, even from the 40s, with the original box and wrappings intact. Like going back in time. I understand how you feel about second hand. I sometimes feel nervous about that too. Deadstock is a good option (items that were never sold, just sat in a warehouse somewhere).
Thank you.
As for second-hand (not a fan of the term!), we have what is

Posted by sultrykittyI've had hair loss too, but it's coming back thanks to diet and supplements that support thyroid health. Have you had your thyroid levels checked? Unfortunately most doctors use reference ranges that don't diagnose people properly. I was told I was fine when my TSH was something like 3.1, and my hair was falling out, but the truth is that a TSH of closer to 0 is actually healthy and hair will stop falling out. The history of diagnosing thyroid issues is a mess, but there are resources available that help people. PM me if you would like to know more. 🙂Posted by duchesslibroI used to have a leo mane. BF says that it looked like I could tow a car with it, lol. My hair was partially what attracted him to me.
If I had a Leo mane I'd be brimming with self confidence as well.
Sadly I've lost half of it. No one would know looking at me, but I know. A leo without a mane is a sad cat indeed.click to expand

Posted by GreyWizI can agree with this (my Libra bits are partial to good looking types, but they have to be successful or motivated intellectually for me to really get interested).
I disagree. everyone has a horrible bias against leos. we are not that vain and shallow. Leo's really don't care that much about looks. I have never seen leos make a big deal about it. Venus ruled people certainly care about such thing for sure. Taurus and libras make a huge deal about looks and physical attraction. Leos are good looking but most of our charm comes form our personality.
Leos care more about personal achievement and recognition. When i see a good looking person who has achieved nothing i look at them like dirt. It means nothing to me. I admit we can be a bit of prestige whores. That is our weakness but we don't give shit about look.

When dx, my TSH was over 100, TPO antibodies 3000. My TSH is now .01 with Frees in optimal range. Ferritin is 70+ and I also have MTHFR mutations so I'm on a methyl B complex. I have been eating modified Paleo since I tested positive for gluten and a couple of cross reactive foods. My hair is finally getting thicker now.

Posted by duchesslibroI can relate, and a relative of mine with a Libra sun, and several other planets in Libra, would I think agree too.
I'm Libra and very concerned/aware of my personal appearance. I would not go so far as to say I'm vain/conceited. I just want to look good. I don't really give any fucks about labels/designers. And I don't really care what other people think of me. I just want my husband to be impressed. Also me. I need to like what I see in the mirror.

Posted by GreyWizDo you have any celebrity examples of Taurus and Libra women so I can visualize what you mean about the kind of beauty that they have, in your eyes?
Libra and taurus girls are the best looking girls for sure. They take pride in their appearance and spend a lot of time and energy trying to look good. I appreciate that as guys love eye candy.
Taurus girls are better looking on average. But libra women destroy them at the top end. I have seen some truly stunning libra girls that literally cause traffic to stop .....
Libra girls are too sexy sometimes. I have to go over and tell them to tone it down a bit.

Posted by FirstDecanTaurianWomen0428Sounds great to me! I would likely do that if I had to wear a uniform.
@CopperDove- I am a Taurus with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Libra. Now I am not vain. But I take the time to dress right down to the tee. I match head to toe at work in my scrub uniforms. I bought the very best scrub brand. I must have my hair perfect in a ponytail usually. Not messy. Even if I wear my hair naturally curly scrunched it's neat and not frizzy. My makeup is a bit eccentric. When I go out with people. My outfits range depending on activities, mood, and weather.. And my body spray and perfume also match my mood.. it ranges though.
I am not superficial but I am quickly draw to what other people have on themselves. It's my fixed venus that seeks out physical attraction is important to me alittle bit..

I am more comfortable receiving compliments on my personality, my wisdom, or my intellect because it feels like that person is appreciating my core being. It feels good when someone admires what I have on the inside, rather than just admiring my cover.click to expand

@duchesslibro That's interesting about your dad. Too bad he's such a mess otherwise! I agree that all geniuses are unique.
Both of my parents have an extensive vocabulary but they don't use complex words often because they want to be understood by most people. They both have PhDs but don't use them to lord it over people. My father got his for professional reasons, my mother just wanted one because it was an achievement she wanted to have.

Posted by duchesslibroThey are very cool people, and they think for themselves (many academic types don't, I've noticed, they are just very good at memorizing things and repeating them in a way that a professor likes). Posted by FirstDecanTaurianWomen0428It's a good Venus to have. 🙂 Just a guess, though, because you wrote that you have a fixed Venus and there aren't many options for which fixed Venus a Taurus can have.
Of course. How can you tell?

Posted by FirstDecanTaurianWomen0428Excellent. 🙂
@CopperDove- yes the very best closet we seize to possess.. it's mine and I bought with my hard earned money.. and yes tons of clothes and shoes. I am trying to get in scarves and belts now.

Posted by CopperDoveSeems to me earthy academic types think more rigidly and focus mainly on the tangible and whatever is currently accepted as fact. It takes an airy and Sagi mind to be forward thinking and question what most accept as truth.Posted by duchesslibroThey are very cool people, and they think for themselves (many academic types don't, I've noticed, they are just very good at memorizing things and repeating them in a way that a professor likes). My mom is a Libra with a Libra stellium in the 9th house, so Sag influence big time, and higher learning fits well. Her moon is in Aquarius.Posted by CopperDoveYour parents sound lovely. Getting a PhD "just because" sounds like something I might do. Just for fun. I have Saturn in Sagittarius. Lifelong student. I love the experience of both formal and self-taught education. 🙂
@duchesslibro That's interesting about your dad. Too bad he's such a mess otherwise! I agree that all geniuses are unique.

Posted by duchesslibroGreat observation! And my dad can fit that, because he's an Aqua/Pisces cusp with moon in Leo and Sag rising.Posted by CopperDoveSeems to me earthy academic types think more rigidly and focus mainly on the tangible and whatever is currently accepted as fact. Posted by FirstDecanTaurianWomen0428I can be too.
I am a bit material possessive on shopping in general.

Posted by ashley1734So Leebs are pretentious.
Not sure if someone already said it this way, but it seems Leos are more concerned with their looks/clothes because of how OTHERS will perceive them, and Libras more just like to be put together and beautiful in general (for themselves most of all). What about Virgos though? It seems Virgos are particular/critical about everything including their own looks.
I'm Libra Rising and Virgo Moon and I'm both aware and critical of my appearance and living space. I notice anything out of place, whether it be a poorly matched accessory in my outfit or a candle that's throwing off the color scheme of my living room.

Posted by ashley1734That's a good point. A Libra relative of mine, with a Libra stellium, seems to do both, but it's more what you wrote about Libra than Leo with her. She doesn't have any Leo in her chart.

Thank you.
As for second-hand (not a fan of the term!), we have what is
technically a consignment shop(pe) in my area... they have
unbelievable finds in there, many of which have never been
worn or used-- tags still on them.
So... you're still going to pay, but nothing like you would, retail.
Love that place. 🙂
