Hey there 🙂 Here's hoping that someone on here can give me a heads up or point me in the right direction - I'm trying to gain a better understanding of interpreting the meaning of midpoints in the birth chart, and also working out what planets are aspecting these midpoints (I've read a little bit about them on the cafeastrology website).

I have just run a grid on astro.com (in the extended chart selection menu, pullen/astrolog group, chart type: Aspect/midpoint grid), and while one half shows my midpoints, the other half seems to be showing the aspects that are apparent in my normal natal chart - not what aspects are being made with the midpoints.

Quite a few of the midpoints between my personal planets occur in scorpio (ie: sun-moon MP, venus-mars MP), i'm not sure what to make of it though? Do midpoints mean much on their own, or only when in aspect with another placement? For reference, i'll post the grid below.

Thanks 🙂

Ok forgot to add that what stands out to me the most is the conjuction of my natal Pluto (0 deg 10) to the sun-moon midpoint (2 deg 04).

As for the rest, I'm not experienced enough with orbs to know what else I should really be paying attention to. Some sites say 2.5 and others say 8 or 10 lol. This could mean the difference between including the venus-mars midpoint as a conjuction to pluto as well, or not at all. And possible a conjunction with Saturn (to the v/m mp)...

I've been googling for the last couple of hours but most of the results are for synastry, regardless of which way I word the search. Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Honestly I find all the astrological positionings and all that jive to be way to confusing. So most of the time I don't even bother with any of it. But I somehow got my natal chart up. Sorry I couldn't really be of any help.

What dis midheaven supposed to represent anyway? I know I have my natal chart and all but it still doesn't really make any sense to me. I prefer to hear it from another's point of view.

CS: No, not the midheaven lol 🙂

A midpoint is the mathematical exact centre point between 2 placements in a chart, such as the sun and the moon. Supposedly they are quite sensitive points to an individual, and other placements that are strongly aspecting (conjunct, square, opposition are the basic ones) these midpoints reveal more about the person that the chart is for (I am only looking at the midpoints that involve personal planets at this stage). At least, this is my understanding based on my research so far.

I think the midheaven is dealing with your career and goals. Not your desire -- thats the mars placement.

I try, but I'm not that great at all of this either. I just started understanding cusps and moons lol

Oh my; That's some real insightful stuff! I'm going to look over my natal chart and see if it says anything of the sort. To know thy self is so liberating!
