Alright...

I've done some reading, this is my first night learning about progressed charts. Anyone have any helpful tips or insight?
I'm wanting to know this:
So it's called progressed because its more of an update on your natal astrology..
but do you think it really means you've made "progress" in the sense of getting better in any given area? I suppose learning how to maneuver through the signs as we grow may not be a matter of "growth" as far as the lessons of any given sign being lesser or greater than the next. Because essentially we "grow" by understanding the whole, which includes the lessons of all zodiac signs I would imagine. Is that what "progressed" means in this context?

So is it just telling me that this year I'm learning the lessons of the signs in the progressed chart? Should I be viewing transits from this chart instead of my natal chart? Is my progressed chart really a better picture of who I am today/this year?

Dying to know your thoughts...

Natal chart = obstacles you'll face in your lifetime

Progressed chart = a tool used to help navigate those obstacles. A map or sorts.

Transits (when compared to natal/progressed) = offer a specific time frame where the tool can best be utilized.

Ahhh. Thank you that is very helpful, and gives me a lot to think about.
