Why Do People Believe The Rising Is Just a "mask" or "first impression"?

it isnt, in my opinion your rising is your grow as a person thats why descendant is for early life.

Rising is self-grow, Sun is Self-power or ego.

Emotional about what, how to handle emotions, emotion can change your sense of body/soul.

i disagree, you sun/moon/mercury shows in whatever house its in...like someone with pisces rising could come off as pisces like but in their seventh house they have virgo mars & moon & sun ...they would most likely show their virgo sun,moon,mars in relationships & partnerships & but their pisces rising would still make them come off as a pisces...my opinion & thats what i believe & makes all us more unique

Maybe your cancer rising is getting comfortable , like cancer rising arent always shy, i believe that your rising just gets comfortable & shows another side to itself ... oh and another example say if you sun/moon is in 12th house you woukd rarely show your/ego or emotions tbh the onlg time youd be able to show your core/emotions are in your subconcious

your sun in 2nd- your ego & core is like linked with your possessions, self worth & money , you probably like nice things & will work hella hard for your stuff

moon in 5th -you probably really dramatic with your emotions lol, like you probably feel like you need how you feeling to be known but you probably creative

venus in first - you most like a charming person & people can think you have beatiful ( even if you not or you are) but your personality is warm

all from what i know about those placements

the ascendant is the filter through which all of your other placements shine through, for example, i'm a hard worker dedicated to speaking and otherwise communicating, my emotional fire is lifted and dispersed by fickle mutable air as i move through social circles.
