Sagittarius man with Venus in Scorpio

So I've been seeing this guy a few months and at first he came on pretty strong. Now I feel like he just tries to play mind games with me. I'm a gemini so it keeps me intrigued which is actually bad cause I like the chase. He goes away for weeks at a time then comes back which I think is a sag thing. He told me he doesn't want a relationship which is fine, i'm a gemini i'm not exactly pro relationship myself. Can anyone give me some understanding regarding this chart. Do they play mind games.

Anyway I don't believe it to be mind games its more like he has inner conflicts within himself of what he wants.. pretty much a push and pull from all sides of his chart.

I swear he sometimes does things just to see if he can get a reaction out of me. Like he wants a little ego boost by knowing he can get to me.
Then I try to be all aloof to get to him and he doesn't even notice or does but doesn't seem to care. Sagittarius' are so confusing how they are so emotionally unavailable but it makes me want to get to them even more.
