I have Venus square Uranus in natal. AND Uranus and Pluto in my 7th house of relationships, so that's like a double whammy of Uranus in love.

A great placement for attracting people and having exciting partners, but very, very difficult to not detach from the loving nature of Venus in a serious relationship. The Uranian energy makes me want to minimize the importance of the love and logically rationalize why I'm NOT feeling it, even when I am.

I read that with the square placement, one 'choses' either the Venus or the Uranus energy. I've really had to face this and am trying to overdue the love of Venus so I don't slip back into the Uranus aloofness and urge to distance myself emotionally to stay independent.

It's hard, but I love a challenge.

I am a Virgo male with Venus conjunct Uranus in Leo and my son is a Sag with Venus conjunct Pluto in Sag! These configurations trine each other.

To be honest although Venus trine Uranus sounds glamorous I think it has given me a lot of grief: in particular, what often happens is that I feel I am just about to start a romantic relationship with a lady when something PERVERSE AND UNEXPECTED happens to ruin it all! For example a few years ago there was a girl that I was thinking and hoping I was about to get involved with when she suddenly decided to move away and I never saw her again.

I think it also means unfortunately that I seem to attract UNFEMININE women and even GAY MEN - again this is PERVERSE as I am not gay and actually do prefer "feminine" women such as Cancers.

As for my son, well he is only 10 years old but I have to say VERY GOOD-LOOKING (Venus=good-looking intensified by Pluto) though as he has to wear glasses at the moment that makes him seem a bit "nerdy" snd you don't realise how handsome he is until he takes them off! I really think he could be a future film star as I think with 5 planets in Sag he has a lot of "charisma"!

Perhaps I should add that I also have Venus in Leo trine Saturn in Sagittarius. Actually I don't think any Venus-Saturn aspect is easy and as far as I am concerned I feel that I have always been "unlucky in love" though I think that is rather normal for Virgos! In my case as well I feel that this Venus-Saturn trine represents two missed vocations, one as an architect (Venus-Saturn) and the other as an actor or singer (Venus vocals-Saturn career, Leo-Sag showbusiness) - with regard to the latter for example David Bowie has a Venus-Saturn trine from Sag to Leo. One good thing about Venus trine Saturn though is that it is supposed to help you to "age gracefully", and not only David Bowie has this aspect but also Cliff Richard.

wicked link elle!

If you have Venus square Uranus as a natal aspect:

You??re a big fan of the different and unusual — the quirkier the better, as far as you??re concerned. Your tastes are quite singular but you??re also a trendsetter as others try to copy your inimitable style . By the time they??ve discovered you, you??ve moved on.

Your romantic life reflects the same themes; you??re interested, all right, but as soon as you??ve hooked up with someone, you start to feel pinned down. It's a constant struggle between wanting to be together and needing to be free. There are various ways you can handle this dilemma. You may routinely leave your lovers before they leave you (and you??re sure they will); you could play the field, running forever from a committed relationship; or you may fall in love with someone who is married or who travels extensively, and is therefore essentially unavailable.

In the best of all worlds, you??ll choose someone whose needs reflect your own, so you can learn together to traverse the tricky landscape of a successful relationship. In any event, your partnerships will not be the average, run-of-the-mill type; you??re more likely to be involved in unusual, forward-thinking arrangements that solve both your need for love and your need for freedom. It's a good thing you don't particularly care what others think!

This is painfully true... but that last paragraph gives me hope!

THe Pisces and I also have this in our synastry. His Venus Square my Uranus and my Sun Opposing his Uranus. LOTS of push/pull but at least I am used to this energy and am learning how to handle it better.

Venus/Saturn has such a seriousness about love but it is true that many age very well and find love later in life.

I also have this in synastry with my SO... argggghhh! But he has Venus conjunct Saturn natally and yes... he is a text book case.

I think the saying "you can only love another, once you truly love yourself' was made for those with Venus/Saturn

But the paradox/vicious circle is that it seems to me that perhaps you can only love yourself when you have been loved by another (I mean, when growing up in particular). Although the Moon is supposed to represent one's mother, in fact Venus after all has a lot to do with women so it seems to me that in a practice (in a man's chart anyway) Venus often seems to represent the mother/one's relationship with her: for example my ex and son live (alone) together and as I say he has Venus conjunct Pluto (intense one-on-one relationship with her). They say that everybody is born confident but that some of us have it ground (or of course even beaten) out of us as we grow up, and in my case I feel that it was ground out of me. I do feel that I did not have much love growing up (and unfortunately that seems to be quite normal for Virgos) but any love seemed to come from my father (Saturn) rather than from my mother. This I think is what has created a lot of trouble with women for me in that because I suppose of this growing-up experience I have never been very confident and therefore never very successful with women. And despite Hugh Grant etc. that does seem to be the normal pattern for Virgo males anyway.

Venus Conjunct Neptune
Those with Venus in conjunction to Neptune in their birth chart are generally sensitive, creative, and attractive people. An impractical nature when it comes to love, money, and personal possessions is notable, even if Venus-Neptune people approach the rest of their lives in a more sensible manner. They are giving, and usually "give" more than they receive in close personal relationships, ready to make sacrifices for the one they love, generally loyal, and exceedingly kind-hearted. Sentimental and compassionate, natives with Venus conjunct Neptune are easily touched by others' kindness, music, poetry, dance, and most any art that evokes emotion. Some might say they are gullible in love, as they are inclined to forgive easily and trust that others are as good-hearted as they are. They may attract people who take advantage of their giving nature, or who elude commitment, or who are troubled or needy. As ready as they are to forgive, they are also easily hurt, and even shocked, in matters of the heart. They dislike crude, rude, and crass behavior and situations. Still, they are drawn to love relationships like moth to flame. Their imaginations and fantasy worlds are rich, and Venus-Neptune people believe that there is something out there for them, even after disappointments. There's an ethereal or mysterious quality to them that is subtly seductive and very attractive. As loving as they are, there is an ethereal and universal quality to their love that keeps them oddly out of reach, yearning for something magical and ideal, that can make their lovers feel strangely excluded--their love almost borders on impersonal. These very creative people are often artists.

*sigh* couple that with the naive/optimistic Sagi nature and my caring Leo moon.

Venus sextile Pluto = harmonious
You are powerful and magnetic. You have a magical charm for dealing with people. You have a universal love for people that is non-sectarian and non-judgmental. You are sustained by material abundance that comes from others at some time in this life and may have a sizable inheritance. When you get involved with a project you can really pour yourself into it with seemingly limitless energy. This energy evaporates when you aren't involved in a project of personal importance.

You love deeply, passionately, and wholeheartedly, and others may find your intensity either extremely attractive or threatening. You are charismatic and can have a powerful emotional influence on others, especially those of the opposite sex. You may use your attractiveness to manipulate others, sometimes without even realizing it.

This aspect deepens your response to love, people and life in general. You have the rare quality of seeing the best in everyone, thus helping to bring it out. Beauty, symmetry and goodness are the things you look for in life - and find! Your friends come from all social classes and backgrounds. Your understanding and appreciation of love is instinctive, and you are fully prepared to accept the responsibilities of love as well as the joys.

If you have Venus conjunct Jupiter as a natal aspect:

You??ve got a big heart and a very generous nature. You??re remarkably cavalier with your money, spending freely on yourself and others, having perfect faith that there's plenty more out there and it will come to you quite easily, almost without any effort on your part.

This inborn attitude of being well off is reflected in your emotional generosity and good will; you have a wealth of feelings, and you feel wealthy. Even the bad times don't seem so bad to you! You like being around other people and you like having a good time, so your social calendar is usually full.

You are charming and warm, and enjoy physical contact with people; you prefer a hug to a handshake. Philanthropy comes naturally to you. Your benevolence and charity are best when done privately, out of the public eye, which indicates humility and sincerity and reduces any appearance of self-congratulation.

Pay attention to the spiritual side of life, and develop philosophies that give your life meaning and substance. Instead of frittering away your resources, use them for the greater good, a cause to which you can contribute an enormous amount of time, dedication, energy and money.

If you have Venus trine Uranus as a natal aspect:

You have a playful, fun way about you that is uniquely attractive to others. You make friends easily because you are tolerant, interested in people of all ages and from all walks of life. Your range of acquaintances is broad and fascinating. Your friends are as important as — and maybe more important than — romance, and you have the distinct tendency to remain friendly with lovers even after you??ve both moved on to someone new.

Your tastes are just as unusual when it comes to love as anything else for you; there's a fascination for what is new and different, for things you??ve never tried before. To be frank, you get bored rather quickly and do not like to be around slow or dimwitted types. You can detach quite easily from people and may have —friends in spots,?? or circles of friends who gather around a specific interest or hobby.

Your creative streak is powerful and original and it's very healthy for you to give it full expression. Whatever your medium, you??re very innovative and create new ways of expression that are often interesting and exotic, like nothing anyone has ever seen before. You??re often far ahead of your time!

I wouldn't disagree with my aspects and (THANKS ELLE AND THANKS SHELLSHOCKER FOR EPIC LINKS) the explanations of the two. I'm trying to find one for my last Venus trine (Midheaven), but I shall soon.

Although with Venus conjunct Jupiter, I'd have to disagree with some statements due to the strength of the aspect being outweighed by other aspects in my chart. I brush things off in passing when things are very bad, but I do explode and find myself quite distraught during those times - UNLESS THERE ARE DISTRACTIONS.

... Actually, these aspects are very akin to many things my ADHD gives me, which is a positive. 😄

Thanks for the interesting thread ShellShocker! 🙂

I just have Venus trine Uranus in my natal birth chart out of the 4 above. Thank god my Venus missed Saturn and Pluto. I notice I distance myself when it comes to my family and seem to not tolerate people wanting to know what I'm doing or reading. I don't seem to like people doing any favour for me like cooking me food because I won't always do any favour for anyone. Then again I have Sun trine Uranus.
