Water signs -how emotional can you get?

So basically water is the element for emotions and such so my question is more directed towards Cancer and Pisces.

But I've a question,do you find you can make yourselves cry at the drop of a hat. Like you hear a song or movie and it's very easy for you to tear up thinking about the characters and their emotions. It makes me wonder because of an experience I had lately.

I been listening to the song 'Daniel' by Elton John. Very beautiful song about a war veteran going away to a different place to stay, and the way Elton sings it just sublime and tender. Anyway, its called Daniel and I have no Dan's in my life, but I thought about a scenario that what if there was a Daniel in my life and he died? The song would remind me of him everytime. And I actually started to feel sad and tearful, it just caught me by surprise. I don't know if this happens to water signs a lot. Maybe its the result of this song plus watching too much Long Island medium. Your thoughts, emotional people?

I get the feeling Scorpio might not the same way, but I'm not sure. The most emotion (in my opinion) they can easily feel without fail is either anger or a strong sense of justice. They're just not one for the waterworks. But again, generalizing here. Yes, scorpio has tons of feelings too, but mainly fierce ones. Not soft, "I want to cry over a romantic movie kind." I dunno. This is just more of a rant than not.

Right. I am probably biased. I have mars in Scorpio. Mars in Scorpio = Fierce. Like tyra banks would say.

But what is their soft side like, I wonder, just general protectiveness? Vulnerability?

Yes. It's still a Water sign, which makes it hypersensitive to many factors. The ones I know are actually very caring and nurturing, especially in relationships. Not the type to cause trouble first. The fear of being hurt and revealed is what makes them fiercely protective/defensive and extreme when they have to. I don't really blame them for that.

Yet, their mindset is as rectilinear as that of an Earth sign, and that's what makes them predictable. You just know how and when that "sting" strikes, no matter how secretive they are.

I've seen these gentle qualities here and in past lifetimes. There are no "bad" or "good" signs in astrology. Basically, energy is neutral and it's up to the native to decide which polarity to use. I'd congratulate the more evolved ones tho.

I agree that I'm nurturing and caring in relationships, but I'm not predictable. Never have been.

I hate romantic movies. I call them chick flicks. I love horror, action and comedy movies. The movie "the notebook".... I wouldn't watch that shit if they paid me. I rarely cry. I tend to get angry, before I get sad.

Water is subconscious emotion. If you want a more well rounded grasp on emotions it's actually the Fire element that delivers.

@Impulsv, yep. I can relate. I just saw your chart and wow talk about Scorpio stellium! The way I see it, Scorpio does feel on a very primal level, including anger and love, so there's that. I struggle with the same thing too, like swearing loyalty and loving someone yet when you are betrayed or they do something that puts you off, you do feel this deep sense of hurt that's hard to put into words. It stems from the same place as that level of love. Letting go, I guess is the best answer or act like they never hurt you.

I am not a cryer but I am like a world peace type person. I am a sucker for deep emotional issues that people have or had in there life.for example death doesn't bother me its how people dont move on because of death. Like a couple of years my grandfather pass I was hurt but more hurt because I new the pain my grandmother going to have to live with, she in her 80s and have to deal with losing someone she love.

I remember women on tv afew yrs ago...she was telling her story on how her child was murdered which took place 23 yrs earlier. The lady was still in pain. She never had anymore children, never got married, and just never move on. I was sad for her because I new this lady would live the rest of her life grieving over her daughter. again i was sad about her child death but more sad because the mom going to have a hard life.

But I usually stay away from emotions and things that have bad ending. I am too empathetic. I have ability to feel others emotions so I train my self to be alittle distant.

Now on the Scorpio subject ....its a misconceptions. Scorpios are very sensitive and emotional if u not close to one then u will only see it in there anger. Also anger is a emotion but when a scorpio at crazy most likely u then hurt there feeling.

Other signs I find emotional.....
sags...they can tell u there truth but I seen these people cry over other people bluntness towards them.more sensative then being emotional..I guesd
Taurus. .....omg every taurus I met was cryers. I mean cry and the next they happy all in 10 mins. One of my Taurus cousin told me she cry because it feel good.

My Cancer niece, whos is 6 now, loves to cry. She automatically runs in the mirror and looks at herself when she's crying. I would be so sensitive when she was hurt about anything, but my sister(her mom) was like "she's faking...I know my child." So for five years, my niece had me fooled with the tears. She loves any opportunity to look at herself emotional.
