Zodiac Signs and...Driving?

Do you think your zodiac sign affects how you drive? What's your sign & when did you get your license? Only reason why I ask is because I found an amusing article online about it.

There is a correlation? My sun/mars/merc placements must be on the unluckier side for that, then.
19, still don't have my license. My friend said I'd be a good nascar driver with the way I cut my corners. Haha, more like a good hit-and-runner.

Never got my License and when I had my permit I got into two minor accicents. I have a big fear of driving based on something that happened to my fam when I was younger. Those two things have scared me off the road. Thanx to my lovely fiends who drive, they get me around from time to time, and the transit sys in ny is amazing so im good. I was debating recently to get it and a car but im saving it for my degree. If I ever have children ill revisit the idea again.

Here's an interesting take on why some drivers have all the luck, or more appropriately, "bad luck" on the road. InsuranceHotline.com, a Web site that gives auto insurance quotes, studied 100,000 North American drivers' records from the past six years and found that Libras, Aquarians and Aries are the worst overall signs when it comes to traffic offenses and accidents. Leo, Gemini and Cancer drivers were found to be the best overall.

Interesting? How about a complete "astrological" driver's profile? According to the website, here are the Astrological Signs that had the most influence over drivers, causing them to have the greatest number of tickets and accidents, from worst to best.

Number 1 Worst :
Libra - Sept. 23 to Oct. 22
Libra is the "sign of the scales", it craves balance and consensus. Libra doesn't like to make snap decisions. But rush hour traffic is not a time for seeking driver approval, or for being indecisive.

2nd Worst Position :
Aquarius - Jan. 20 to Feb. 18
They're impulsive, and ruled by the Planet of speed and rebellion. Aquarians need to get a better grip behind the wheel.

3rd Worst Position :
Aries - Mar. 21 to Apr. 19
Its symbol is the ram. Not good a sign to have for avoiding accidents. Aries have a "me first" child-like nature, that drives Aries into trouble.

4th Worst Position :
Pisces - Feb. 19 to Mar. 20
This sign enjoys daydreaming. So wake up Pisces, driving in the "real world" requires your complete attention.

5th Worst Position :
Scorpio - Oct. 23 to Nov. 21
The scorpion's instinct is to get revenge, and driving is the perfect avenue to vent a little Scorpion road rage. If you pass a Scorpio, plan on being chased.

I agree with the Pisces part. It's so hard for me to completely pay attention while driving. There's too many things to focus on, and I'm not used to doing that. I end up turning without looking, etc.

My mom is a Cancer and she is a pretty good driver as is my Aqua step dad, they both drive like cabbies get you anywhere you need to go fast. My mother cracks me up because she turns into a demon while driving, her road rage scares me.

lol For me it's not that. I pay attention well (surprisingly). But I do get lost really easy =/ I tend to get mad easily when others do stupid things too.. I wouldn't go so far as calling it road rage though :O

I'm planning to invest in a gps, because I know I'd have no idea where I was going. Might be a good idea for you, too? Eh, being mad is okay. Happens to everyone. Just, when people start yelling at others when they can't hear them (great example of my mother's scorpio road rage), I just think that's dumb. I hope I never do that.

I'd love to hear a comment from another Virgo (I am one) & there driving experience.

Definitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am "pure" Sag---always driving with a high speed...I got TWO speed tickets in 3 months that cost me more than $ 600 😢

My highest speed was about driving 22 miles in 12 minutes........can you do the math? 😉

I pay attention to everything and everybody. I have a led foot to an extent but that's only when I know cops aren't around. I flip people off..cuss them out....im borderline with the road rage. Other people's driving just pisses me off .

LOL, my mom does this thing where she'll not only look at me in the car and tell me stories, but slap my knee when she delivers her little punch lines. Lol, I'm like, "Mom, what are you doing? Pay attention to the road!" Hahaha. She's a Scorpio with Moon in Leo, Mercury in Libra, and her ascendant is on the Leo/Virgo cusp. It's like, "Yes, Mom. We all know you're a fabulous storyteller. We know you're charming. But you are DRIVING, woman!" Plus, she lives in Colorado, and some of the driving laws are confusing and weird...so sometimes I don't even know if what she's doing is legal when I go visit her. Weird for this lifelong Californian, at least. 😛

Hahaha...yeah I dont think I could take that . Id have to tell her I'd meet her there and drive my own car. Lol
I remember one time when my ex was driving his 18 wheeler truck....he had to get something in the back near his bed...instead of asking me to get it...he puts the truck on cruise control and walks in the back with his foot on the wheel...I about had a heart attack. I screamed at him for that one. I thought how stupid to put yourself in harms way but what about other drivers...still makes me mad.

I asked my sister who she'd feel safe in the car with during a high speed chase and she said our Gemini cousin. That boy drives CRAZY, like he drove his car real late at night in reverse from one place to another, but he's always on point with it, and NEVER seems to get a ticket. My mother(Aqua) is like that too. She puts on eyeliner, mascara, will hold a conversation with you while looking at you in the backseat, text, reach completely down and pick something up, digs in her purse etc etc etc etc, all while driving. If she has to swerve or do anything quick, she's on it. Despite it all, she stays alert, which amazes me. My sister said they were coming from somewhere and all of sudden traffic stopped on the highway due to a wreck and everybody was doing all kind of crazy things to avoid hitting the car. She said my mother, going about 80, swerved the car 6-8 lanes over and drove through this narrow space avoiding the pile-up. My sister cried because she said it was nearly a life and death situation and if it wasn't for my mothers quick thinking they probably would have hit someone or something. I guess that's that air sign, quick thinking thing they have going on.

I hate driving. I'm terrified of it actually.

My mum, also an aqua was the same. She would do all those things you've mentioned. She was a fantastic driver, and she never had an accident. I loved driving with my mum.

My aqua is one crazy ass driver (speed junkie, racing people, cussing people, cutting in and out to cut traffic, pulling crazy manoeuvres) BUT very skilled. Once, we were driving out of the estate late at night (to get a munch) you gotta go up a hill to get out and there's a blind bend. Some nutter decides to speed down the opposite way. The way he came down that hill we almost had a collision...aqua swerved so quick and missed by inches...plus he had a couple of spliffs down him before we left out. He's crazy but I feel completely safe and calm in his car, because I know he's got control. His driving turns me on lol.

They're homebodies, and consider the roadway of drivers their extended family. But they're a moody group, and would be the ones to honk at you for no reason at all.

I usually drive fast on the freeway, especially at night. I roll down all the windows and it feels like I'm flying, of course, I'm always paying attention to my driving and to other drivers.

I've never been pulled over and I've had my license since I was 21.

Yeh, cancers are good drivers. My father is one... as far as I know, never had an accident and he did loads of driving jobs in the past. He'd do that same thing on the freeway/motorway wind down the windows and drive fast with music or with the radio on lol.

My best friend also a cancer...she gets mad road rage but a fantastic driver...also loves to drive fast. She always calls me to catch up when she's on a car journey (she's a busy woman)...something I don't think I can do while driving.

I Have had my license almost 14 years. Never had a ticket, or accident. My driving record is squeeky clean. I can drive like Mario Andretti though. So my man says lmao, If i am drivin and in a hurry he will be all like "Slow down Andretti!" lmao.

Not ALL WOMEN!!!! i taught myself how to drive! and i have been driving almost 14 years, i have never been hit by a car or hit anyone or anything else. never ever been pulled over let alone got a ticket. so that comment, is really getting old!!!! driving is not fk'n rocket science!

Contrary to what people might think or expect I don't find that Virgos (including myself) necessarily drive in a nerdishly cautious way! In fact as I have very quick responses I know that I can rely on that to pretty much keep me out of trouble. I don't particularly overtake aggressively or anything but like most people I guess I do enjoy driving fast and a little bit of risk-taking. However I am not a fool and would not do so in icy or foggy conditions for example. For various reasons I didn't pass my test until I was 28 years old (I am now 53): before I could drive yes it was a limitation not to have a car but less so here in England than it would have been in America.

I'll never forget what I learned in my 5 hr class...EVERYONE thinks they're a good driver.

At first I hated it, I was afraid that I would kill some one because of my distractions.

Now its ok but I still think this is one more imposition of this society.

Once in a while a piece of the car goes scratched lol in parking...others are ok because I dont want to crash on others.

weird I,ve been driving for oh 30 years and never once has rush hour driving bothered me except for the idiots who rubber neck and slow down traffic even more

I'd like to think of us Virgos as the 6th best instead of the 7th worst 😉

Sun and Merc in Capricorn but a Mars in Aries.

I drive really controlled most of the time. I nearly failed my driving test because I refused to overtake a truck, knowing that we were almost back and about to leave the highway on the next exit. 😛
In the 8 years of driving not a single speeding ticket or accident so far. And I have driven in quite a few countries all around the world.
(Hint: I thought the French and Italians were bad, but that's before I drove in Hungary. Maniacs. Taiwan was actually a really Zen experience, even though the cities are bloody crowded with scooters and motorcycles. I felt like a moving rock in a river full of salmon...
Actually, that's where I got my only accident so far. On a narrow mountain pass I tried to pass a digging machine. Just as we passed he turned around and smashed the side window. )

I enjoy driving a car but I can get a bit territorial at times. It feels like a competition. I get agitated.
That's why I prefer cycling. I can actually get rid of the excess energy there without having to compete with other road users.

lets see..been driving 14-15 yrs now...not been in one accident. I'm hardly ever pulled over or had any tickets really.
