So Pisces do make good 60's/70's hippies I guess ;P
i think there's definitely a hippie essence with us π
how about the other signs/decades?
taurus, the 40's?
aries, the 30's?
aquarius, the 80's?
has anyone come across any literature on zodiac signs and the decades in history? π

60s - Cancer
70s - Libra
80s - Gemini
90s - Pisces
00s - Virgo
pourquoi?
oh, the cancer/60's is a good angle. but i still think pisces has that overall edge.
hmm, definitely an air sign for the 80's...i'm kinda with you on the gemini thing.
oh, no way. i can't believe you just did that π’ that was the most obvious choice! i'd say the 00's had a more 'pity me' edge-like the emo rock groups and everything. 'grunge' was more soulful, raw alternative rock?
kind of a beatles/heavy metal mashup
Posted by everevolvingepithet
I dunno. I think the advent of fast downloads/access to media, software and the like makes for a more level playing field so I'd put the 00s more towards Virgo (as a whole).
The 90s was definitely the era of 'misery loves company' but also unity if that lessens the blow somewhat ? π
ok, so the tech age for virgo, yup makes sense
ack. i'm still reeling. i feel dissed LOL -_-

I suppose Scorpio fits the 90s too, all the darknesses being marketed a lot too.
yes! that's a good one, actually...well mainly for the music industry, and maybe fashion too. so raw, emotional passion with lots of edge and whatever.
yeah *nods* π
ah. i still think the 50's was alot more about being conservative and establishing traditional roles so it's more cap than anything. a tad materialistic? but still. somewhere between the 30's/40's/50's there's a definite earthy influence

Loooove these pics, very Pisces!π the first is giving my Moon a heart attack hahaπ just wanna get my dettol

60s - Free love, Mother Earth stuff and all that nurturing etc.
70s - Prog rock and more thinky stuff
80s - Prince is a gemini, and the sentiments in American Psycho as well as the era of big money
90s - Grunge/Kurt NoBrain and the era of self pity (no offense)
00s - Ummm, Technology stuff that's original ?
how do you figure that?
90's was the most murderous era in american history.."no pity" is more fitting
80's was the crack era, so yea that fits gemini's becuz when crackheads are high they tend to talk fast and act like paranoid schizophrenic's
that ws a good observation. technically fyi though, the 1960s-now is the "age of the aquarius". n its referred to as "ages"; not "decades" b/c a decade is 10 years and sign ages last more than that. there r studies that talk about "sign ages" n this time period now actually belongs to aqua. aquas r the epitome of hippie-life: freedom, equality, rebellion, political rights activism, protests, womens rights, etc. aquas r all about being free, n that's where we're @ now. we've broken free from tradition (during cap's age), and now we're in a world where homosexuality is finally embraced, legalization of marijuana has never been so close, and lady gaga-ish weirdo behavior is accepted and applauded. wud u ever think u saw the day? that's aqua equality + freedom π
the aqua age is also associated w/technology. we have crazy tech gadgets now: iphones, ipads, mp3 players, video chatting, handheld video chatting, etc etc etc! so yeah, not trying to knock on ur findings or anyone else's comments, but just wanted to share this info that's all. it's actual n factual, so if n e one disagrees just look it up π

oh i know that sweetie, i was lookng at the decades and their themes (fashions, culture, art, politics, etc) and which fit what signs 'essence'.
not 'the age of' or anything, that's a totally different kettle of fish π
but in terms of ages, wasn't there debate over if we're actually in the age of aquarius now, or heading into it? i'm sure i read that somewhere...

i've been meaning to post this for awhile, but i'm very lazy. but anyway, i've been thinking about star signs and themes in history...how they seem to correlate.
okay, so the 60's-a pisces moment in time. the hedonistic and somewhat lazy attitudes of the hippies. freedom, peace and love and being quite idealistic and dreamy. the drugs that were dominant in that time, esp lsd and marijuana, ones that are hallucinatory and bend reality. revolution achieved by acknowledging a higher consciousness...the impact of peaceful protest.
the very title of this...'i have a dream'...shouts pisces to me. martin luther king, huge freedom fighter.
music and art being celebrated in such a universal way...
