Cancers are motherly.
I'm forever nursing my BFs injuries even if we're not talking bc we're mad about something. I go take care of him stay the night but sleep fully clothed on top the covers & make sure he's good before I go on about my life. Not bc I'm obligated, he has mom & sister & friends but bc he's mine thick/thin & I love to be his rock.
Yeah I do. I once compromised a get well package when I knew my boyfriend was sick. He had a cold, and I got him a kleenex box, lozenges, vitamin c tablets, Vicks vapor rub and I think some chicken noodle soup. I make tea and dote a little bit. I think it means I'm sick myself for getting a kick out of it haha

I think my wife gets a kick out of it. I been sick recently with sinus infection, ear infection and finally a respiratory infection. I take my prescribed pills and I still go to work. My wife gets mad when I go off to work rather trying to stay in bed. I had pneumonia in the past and I was far away from her on a business trip. So I understand why she would get scared or worried when I get sick. Anyways last night I went to my bed early and propped myself up with pillows and watch tv. I didn't have covers on because I was hot and just left them off. I fell asleep. She turned off the tv, covered me up and left the room.
If I am stressed, sometimes it feels better to help someone, but if they start to try to use you or impose on you then it feels stressful.
Posted by AquistormThat's a legitimate reason for her to be worried about you. You had pneumonia and you were too far from her to be of any help to you. Now you get sick again. She will be just as worried because once you catch pneumonia the first time, you'd be getting it again and again and a lot easier. She knows this if you say she is a nurse. She is gonna do everything in her power despite your stubbornness to make sure you don't get it again.

I think I'm naturally predisposed to that but my fear is being used so I just don't.

What do you think or how do some of you feel on the inside when you take care of someone or even a something such as an injured pet? Like do you feel good that you help someone get better?

100% yes! I go out of my way to make sure everyone is happy and healthy. I love my family and friends so why wouldn't I make sure they were taken care of? I actually worked for a mental hospital for 8 years where I helped mentally ill adults learn how to live in a community and take care of themselves. I'm also 2 years away from my nursing degree =) I love helping ppl!!!
