I have so many questions about crabs. These answers are incredible and extremely informative.

So here we go, another one for ya.

This may or may not be hypothetical ?

Here's the deal.

He's sort of on the alcoholic side. BUT not at all a destructive type. He's still so kind, even when he's blacked out. I've known him for a few years and he's always been a hard worker, but when he overworks himself it's like he shuts down and quits his job. This past time, he straight up went ghost. And then he ends up on his friends couch. His friend is from a little money, but he lets the crab sleep on his couch in exchange for the crab to do yard work. They're best friends. And he just stays in that valley and doesn't talk to anyone except their friends that frequent their hangout. He runs errands and does random work for his friend he lives with and his friends wife. Random stuff like haul trash, go rent movies, go get the groceries etc. To be honest, this situation is just so bizarre to me! Lol like I'm sure there are some serious deep Cancer issues going on. And get this, he's hot! Like he does not look like the type to just stay hidden in some trailer with his friend and his friends wife. Like he's naturally fit and just charming.

But yet, he's drunk most of the time. Sometimes, you won't even know.

He's got so much potential and he works so hard when he works and he's SUCH a good person.

hes loyal and devoted to all of his friends in their inner circle.

He's got a lot of pressures in life.

I just don't understand it and I'd like to because I like this dude. It's been a potential thing for awhile. I know his inner circle and thats how I know what all he's up to sometimes.

I met him at our old workplace, but he says he remembers me from high school, I don't remember him cause it was a big high school we went to.

He was sort of the cool guy in school.

Everyone knows him and likes being around him but he could care less.

What is this?

Can someone explain?

Honestly it sounds like you have a case of a broken cancer. Drinking is a pretty common trait of cancer's so that is nothing to worry about, I drink just because. He is probably looking for some stability, it may be that he has a contradicting sun and moon sign which makes him want stability and a home of his own but his other sign may make him lazy such as an Aries or cautious of everyone like a Capricorn or Taurus. In which he will be fine with staying with a familiar face and his wife. I must say most cancer's have great bodies we are very health driven and many cancer's can be out going, athletic and have a girl/boy next door persona. Many people know of us but nothing about us! Keep that in mind and we can be very driven in anything we do from eating a 5lb burger to seeming as if nothing fazes us. They're things he's doing because (if he likes you) he knows your around or asking around about him and know he's playing the 'look at all I can offer you card' cancer's as you might know do not like confronting people so you would likely have to make a move on him, sometimes when I don't really like someone I find it easier to talk to them rather than if I'm really into them and retreat back to the stoneage and forget how to talk.

If you want to pursue him, 1). Don't be to pushy, he'll come around and tell you about what he wants you to know and at the same time be curious make him feel like he's not boring you to death 2). Lend a listening ear,as cancer's we always have an ear to listen but no-one to lend us an ear.3). Cancer's love humor crude,dark,dry,cheesy doesn't matter he's probably in the dumps and feels like nothing is going his way and jokes always will make us feel like we are having less trouble than Initially thought. 4). You had better look into that high school situation because cancer's have a very good memory when emotions are attached to it, meaning he probably liked you then so if you don't remember him he might withdraw a little because you don't have that same attachment as him. Cancer's are never destructive it's not in our nature no matter how hard we try so yeaa

I think you should leave him alone. You don't know what you're getting yourself into. You can't handle him. Cancerians are complex...*male* Cancerians are about as cryptic as the Dorabella Cipher. Respectfully, I don't believe you have the stomach to get into what you want to get into.

The questions you are asking show your curiosity which is usually what gets them in, but you've heard that curiosity killed the cat. Cancer is the cardinal ruler of emotions...according to mystical Jewish texts Cancer (or Tammuz) is the gateway for all spirits entering Earth. So Cancer is infused with everything it means to be a spiritual being trapped in the physical. Whereas other signs are unaware or less sensitive to this "knowing" Cancer feels e-v-e-r-y-thang! When I was in high school I was mercilessly bullied for 4 years, nobody would help me...so I fermented some potatoes in my bedroom closet and would drink moonshine between my classes. Self-medicating is what we do. Whether it's drinking, smoking that good ish, being addicted to running, sex, videogames...its all an exercise to move through some of horrific things we've seen...and boy have Cancers seen some horrific things! Cancers make great therapists because we *know* all the great things humans can do AND all the evil they are capable of. Its like being a Charmed One, we know demons really exist and we try to help people from behind the scenes but we can't talk to anybody about what we know because then we are "whining/complaining/crazy". So then we drink and use our sense of humor to move through these shark infested waters.

People think Scorpio is dark...well, Cancer, as the first of the water signs, is where that Scorpionic darkness emanates from. Remember, we only ever see one side of Mother Moon. The dark side of the Moon is a complete mystery, it is unknowable, and that's what people need to understand about Cancer, there will always be a side of us that is unknowable (not from lack of trying, but because there is information and processes that are ONLY available to Cancerians as part of our astrological birthright). That's why some people continue to complain about Cancer's being crazy, psycho, erratic...no, we're just guided by forces beyond the purview of most.

When I'm with another Cancerian, I feel this indescribable peace. Its like two puzzle pieces fitting together easily and comfortably. I almost don't have to speak. We just look at each other and...we get it. Each word we say to each other brings this kind of attenuation to some central source of power. I often think to myself how sad it is that I never get to share that with someone I'm dating (never dated a Cancer) and I realise how much of myself would have to be squashed in order to be in a relationship (which is why I don't pursue them). That's the reason why I say that you're not ready for this guy. If you have to ask *us* what his deal is...you're looking for trouble. You should be able to look at his situation and just...get it. You should be able to tap into that central source of power and understand what could have lead him to live the way he lives. Then you would know what we know, which is that he's not ready or in any shape to be in a relationship. So if you get into what you're thinking of getting into, you must be aware that you will just be a fling or drive-by. He will question himself and say:

"Wow, what kind of woman wants to date a guy who is not financially stable? Either a woman who wants a drive-by or a woman who wants to control me by offering me support".

And depending on his disposition, he'll either give you a drive-by situation, or he'll be put off and reject you, or he may capitalize in the situation and let you take care of him. But just know, when he finds someone *he* loves, he will bounce you harder than a Madoff cheque -- you best believe.

Don't let Charlie discourage you take a leap and what is meant to happen will always find a way to happen. And if you never throw yourself under the wheel of the moving bus you'll never know how truly grateful you should be to be on the bus. Meaning you will live in despair and what if for the rest of your life so just take the leap and maybe something positive will happen and if not you can peacefully move on!

Yes, it feels stupid to pursue a relationship without being financially free. What are you gonna do, catch a bus to the movies for a date? Puh-lease 😉
