I met this Cancer man. I thought he was real cool. He said that he didn't want to get married, or have children. He also said that the only thing a woman can do for him is provide him with sex. He can cook & clean for himself, and financially provide for himself. Well, I am an unconventional typical Aqua. I am not too keen on marriage and having children either. I thought we were both on the same FWB path. I wasn't looking for a relationship either. So I assumed everything was good.

The sex was incredible. Great sex without limiting my freedom was liberating. All of a sudden, he's asking me to speak to his mother on the phone, trying to introduce me to his friends, and harassing me about spending more time with him.I told him "WTF!" said I was extremely busy, and hoped that he would get the drift. Aquas don't beat around the bush. Despite his cool facade, I noticed that he was hyper-sensitive and insecure. Instead of having sex on a weekly basis, I decided to limit the time we had sex, and just checked in with him once in a blue moon. He became cold and moody. Out of the blue, one day, I told him I wanted to drop in for one of our usual sex romps, so he decides to tell me that his girlfriend wouldn't like it. Something told me he was lying. I checked his FaceBook page, and it said 'Single.' This man has no girlfriend. Is this a Cancer trait, or is this man Nuts!! LMAO. Have the sessions expired?

As for as the Facebook Status, FB gives them the option to hide it. My status is only displayed for friends and family members.

It's strange. I never gave him that 'girlfriend status' vibe. I have been unconventional with my words, ideas, thoughts and actions all the way through. He never expressed wanting to pursue a relationship which is why I thought his actions were rather peculiar. If he chose to express it, I would have firmly told him 'I don't see a potential relationship." It would have been difficult, though. You Cancers are sexually addictive! LOL.

Don't Scorps get attached after sex, too.

i think it's true about the FB status thing and cancers being extremely private people. my cancer and i haven't ever actually argued yet but this was an ever-so-slightly sore spot. see, i am a proud leo and i love like one. i am also proud of my partner and sort of like to show them off and tell the world of our relationship accomplishment. i at least like our loved ones to know. anyway, he didn't change his FB status either until i got a hair up my butt one morning and changed mine. we were together for almost 3 months before we updated our profiles. it would probably still be that way today if i hadn't changed mine. it's not just with social networks either.

anyway, i think you know the answer already. i think your suspicions are spot on. if he snapped a retort to your advances by throwing in the gf, whether real or imagined, it's a sure sign that he feels slighted by you. whenever my cancer has been rejected by a girl he was really in to he never went back. if he puts his heart on the line, and it gets trampled on, he won't do it again. he's like me in the sense that once he realizes his lover has lost interest then he loses interest (our venus in leo being the culprit maybe?).

try to steer clear of the cancer boys from now on. i've found that many sun signs can be fairly unpredictable (i've encountered many a person whose personality did not fit the typical description of their sun. one must peer into the whole chart but i digress...) but i've never met a cancer, male or female, that didn't exude the typical traits of their sign. ok, my first bf was a cancer, and he barely acted like one, but when i did his chart i found that his crab traits were being blown away by the heavy gemini influence. i think you would do well with an aqua moon person. i dated one, and am friends with another, and both are totally down for the FWB thing. They are like you where freedom and independence is essential in their relationships.

scorps can go either way from what i've noticed. they're some horny freaks, and honestly, the males can be total man-whores that like to stay unattached until the right one comes along. now, if they see you as a potential mate then, yes, they'll want to own your soul. so tread lightly if you're to be with one but they can handle, and prefer, you to be forthright with your intentions.

what you have to realize about cancers is that they're not going to start expressing anything to you verbally until the courtship is over and you're theirs. everything they do to express themselves to you is going to be in a round-about, almost evasive manner. they're the masters of hint dropping and subtlety. they feel much better if you go first. i did and it paid off. that's how afraid they are of being hurt. it's like they expect you to be intuitive and read their thoughts. luckily i have that going on for me but i can see where that could be a pain in the ass to deal with if you're the straight-forward type.

Wow. This must be confusing to a lot of women in the zodiac who prefer to be courted first. So are they expecting for the women to just assume they're in a relationship without verbalizing it? How were you able to get in tuned wih yours? You're a Leo (not a Scorp or Pisces). An Aqua moon would be great for me. I wouldn't mind a Gemini or a Virgo. I need constant mental stimulation, and a strong need for independence. I verbalize everything. Subtle hints and assumptionds don't work for me.

My good aquarian friend started dating one my other cancer guy friends. Things started off great, she told him upfront in the beginning that she wasn't looking for a relationship because she's planning on moving to a different state in about 6 months. he agreed and said he wasn't looking for a relationship either. Then one fateful day, whilst really drunk he told her he loved her and well, she promptly dropped him. It had only been a month, she does care for him just not in the way that he wanted. now he's making moody status updates anytime he bumps into her at parties. We have all the same friends so it's inevitable. Its been a good month or two since she ended the FWB and she wants to be friends with him but he just can't handle it.

She has a habit of attracting cancer boys, not sure if it's due to her pisces moon. maybe. anyway, on a friends ONLY level, I think cancers and aquarians are great. More than that, it seems the cancer is usually the one with hurt feelings.

Actually to me this isn't being straight forward AT ALL...and it is beating around the bush! I think that you probably should ask him whats wrong, and try to find out, and maybe he'll say it. I have my Mer in Leo, and a 1st house Sun, and Mars...so I have NO trouble saying something if I'm upset or something. At least try and talk to him, tell him you care etc, but that you want to just be friends (buzz word for an Aqua lol). But make sure to add that you care VERY deeply for him. Appeal to his emotions.

This is VERY strange CancerGem...I'm having the opposite situation. I have an Aqua ex who WON't be friends with me, or even friendly. I've never had that happen in an Aqua (I didn't do anything to him we ended and I thought we were ok...and then bam he can't even talk to me and kept saying being friends was awkward). I have an 11th house Venus so I do tend to stay friends with all my exes (see the post about virgo influenced people discarding nice people).

I find that I tend to stay friends with exes because if I can share my heart, time, body, etc. I'm sure I can find something about the person to

stay friends/friendly with. Plus I look at it as though they were sucky boyfriends, not sucky people. So I stay friends because a person means more to me than some stupid title. Waterbearer it's sooo good you're a upfront Aqua, my Aqua ex is horribly tight lipped and VERY emotional, he won't talk...even if you ask him a question about whats wrong (I blame his Mer Pisces for that). All he will say is being friends is awkward and that we are incompatible as friends, then he'll find flaws in me (like I'm too serious) but the day prior he was telling me I'm amazing. Now he won't even talk to me or even be my facebook friend, and he's being terribly petty (which I know isn't an Aqua trait). My 11th house venus doesn't understand this...and the Taurus part of the Venus thinks he's being too complicated lol.

But again I suggest you just try to talk to him, and tell him what you think. I know as a Cancer I would appreciate if somoene went out of their way to find out if I have a problem with them.

I would love to continue a friendship with him. I care about him, but just not in that special way. I'm not being cold, I just do not like to lead people on and keep their heads in the clouds. I think it's misleading. So I try to be direct at all times. I probably forgot to mention that after I said "WTF—" I did ask him "Where are you trying to take this?"
He didn't have a response, so I just simply disregarded it. If I don't hear it, I don't penetrate it. I was just simply thinking, the sex is great, and I want more of it! However, I don't think I will get to preserve our friendship. He doesn't seem to want nothing to do with me anymore. Besides, I don't think his 'girlfriend' will like it. (LOL)But thanks for your input. Cancers rock!

Some of his actions, believe it or not, is very Aqua. It's not his Pisces moon. We're like this. Aquas like meeting new and interesting people. We love learning about them (very similar to Geminis). Espcially if they're different from anyone else we have ever dated. Yes, Aquas look for those differences. But when we meet someone who has these differences, we're usually all over them prematurely. But this feeling is usually temporary until someone else catches our interest. But because we place such a high value on friendship, we will begin to nitpick all their flaws. We're not trying to convince you, we're actually trying to convince ourselves. Anything that will prevent us from becoming too emotionally attached to that person while keeping the peace. But the fact that he's choosing not to talk to you on Facebook is not the characterisitics of an Aqua. If you're willing to be our friends and keep the peace, we will love you even more! Did you express some emotional thoughts that made him very uneasy? His emotional moods, however, may be due to his Pisces Moon. We're more rational than emotional.

Waterbearer I completely agree...all the aquas I know will generally tell you if they have a problem, and they usually aren't petty to the point of being weird as in literally deleting someone on facebook. He had said many times he couldn't be friends with me as it was too awkward, and that he tends to not stay friends with exes...I also really haven't seen that in an Aqua...I have dated two Aquas, and one Aqua moon and they are very quick to be friends after they lose romantic interest lol.

I'm not seeing him rational at all...he's actually more emotional than myself which is kinda strange. The only thing I can think of is maybe he distanced himself because he can sense I'm not over him. I wil admit that, but like I said I'm moving away soon and at this point its not really a reason to not talk. I didn't do anything to get on bad terms, in fact the last time we talked I thought everything was fine. He's not Aqua at all though...he responds to things emotionally, for instance he'd get mad and instead of saying something he'll just answer the phone and then hang up.

This is the strangest Aqua I have ever dealt with and I'll be honest I love Aquas...people always say they aren't emotional they are...they just deal with it in a different way. And to me they are amazing friends.
