To Cancer males, do you connect better with non-water signs?

I'm a Cancer male, and I connect better with women from Air and Fire signs, basically the ones all the horoscope websites say I shouldn't get along well with: Aries, Libra, Leo, even Gemini. I've had better connections / relationships with women from all of these signs. When I meet Scorpio, Pisces, or Cancer women, I don't connect with them like I do women from other signs. Websites always say Scorpio women for Cancer male, but I think its a horrible match in my experience, and Cancer woman and Pisces also not a good match, albeit not as bad. My personality pretty much fits the textbook description of a Cancer male for the most part, so am scratching my head why this is, and if any other Cancer males have experienced the same thing? Tell me your experiences.

My chart shows sun sign is in Cancer, moon sign is in Leo, mercury sign is in Cancer, Venus sign is in Taurus. and Mars sign is in Leo, and my ascendant sign is in Cancer. I just went to a free website to get my chart just now, have never interpreted it before, or know what any of it means. I will research this and learn to read my chart, I'm sure it will help me to understand. Any feedback on my chart would be appreciated!

Too much water leads to flooding. I can't deal with Pisces lack of rationale, and also Scorpios abundant shadiness. I have no experience with another Cancer romantically, or even platonically. All my fellow crabs are members of my family. It's difficult imagining myself with another Cancer.

I am not really attracted to water energy the way I am fire and wind. Even the sexually vivacious Scorpio woman does little to intrigue me. Attraction levels have always been quite high with Gemini, Libra, Aries, and Leo.

Like you, the compatibility matches I find all over online are ridiculous, and are the ones I find myself wanting to pursue.

cancer male, i feel water and earth is better. The fire/air signs is easier to get things started but it's not the depth or understanding that I am looking for that I find from water signs. From earth signs it is not as much understanding as it is acceptance. They wont understand you if you have a lot of complex emotions but they will accept you more readily and without any sudden surprises. These are also some pretty gross generalizations, but take it as you will.

For me, I like to bring that depth and emotion to the fire or wind sign. It's amazing what their energy does to these kind of things when they are applied. But it can't happen if they are not willing to embrace other energies.

I agree about the earth signs about their ability to accept even if they can't adapt. I have next to no earth in my chart, and it makes it very difficult for earth signs to keep up with me since there isn't anything to keep me on the ground, but there is some compatibility there with all three earth signs for me.

Thanks Rabidtalker for sharing your experiences. So you do fit the more typical cancer male recommended signs it seems. I do admit there was something there with the Cancer and Scorpio women that for me was not necessarily better, but definitely different and felt deeper, than women from the other signs. I have never dated, nor known, an earth sign woman.

Your birth chart dictates who you are attracted to and who you are compatible with. You are attracted to signs whose element is missing or lacks in your birth chart. So, if you lack fire, then you are attracted to those who have a fire dominated chart (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius). Now, compatibility is based on what you have in common. So you are compatible to those who have the same elements as your chart.
