What's happening?

So my cancer ex has been talking to me again. Yesterday was his birthday. I wished him a happy birthday words by email. And thats it. We're so far away from each other, soo yeah.

He's been talking to me, telling me how great his birthday there with his friends around and stuff. Which i'm happy to hear.

But then he told me about a girl. Told me about random stuff that girl said and such.

I think i'm kinda jealous. But it's pretty weird tho cause he never really talking about any girls before. And he's kinda acting strange that he just bombarding me with texts and such.

I don't get it. Why?

Have you been in contact before his birthday? Or havent you spoken to him for a while? If that's the case then he's happy that you are on speaking terms. I think cancers feel at ease talking to someone they had history with yet there's no awkwardness in your interaction. He feels safe talking about his crush to you, because you had a loving past and there are no hard feelings. He feels warm with your friendship. Now that he's exploring this new girl you are a safe haven to fall back on....

Yes, after 6 months of no talk now we've been in contact again for these last two months ish. But in friendlier way. We kinda resolved some past issues and we're cool now.

We have known each others for 5 years.

I asked him about the girl, and he said she wasn't his ex nor his date nor crush or such thing like that. She is just a friend.

Well i probably just got jealous then
