I don't know what exactly it is about it, but it seems to be more offensive to others than cussing them out or lying to them.
...well at least from the one example I've had multiple incidents with.

Any of you deal with a type of person like that? Where if you don't listen and hang off every word they say, they get into dramatics?
Yes. I have a Cancer friend like that. I can barely glance at my cell phone around her. Hate is not the opposite of love, indifference is.

MY FATHER. Thank God he isn't alone!

He has same placements like you, sir.(rising /sun/moon).

He is dismissive.

People are MORE offended. I feel sad for those "brushed away" ...i keep telling my dad there are better ways to decline ... RESPOND.

He just doesn't get it 😐 ...again next time he's like *looks at their face...looks away* "hm okay" and does his thing...even when they're saying something with some seriousness or a feeling.

It leaves people hurt. Their ego is very badly hurt.

I'm sure the person...your victim feels like he's cheap erring working being fired by a busy nonchalent CEO lol...
Well your dad sounds awesome.

As for what you said, I see that and can understand how bad it can burn another person.
Though that's a thing with Caps, it's almost like our default mood/reflex, we don't fully grasp the power it has until we see someone throw a fit.
Though at that point a lot of us either lose respect for them a bit or skip the emotional/ego patting and skip straight to the work part, which makes it worse for the other person.

Still, I'm a bit impressed with how such a lack of action could bring out such strong reactions from others.

Wow... How old are you? If it weren't for the propic, I would've been confused if you were my dad behind a computer screen.

Great.

I have nothing to say.. I cant convince my papa in real life to be a little bit considerate and not lose respect by immaturity of people...which is understandable. Not everyone is soooo compartmentalized like you goats ² But he doesn't see it! He says "I haven't got time for bullshit, and they are just creating drama" "you dunno, they're just a waste of time" , "I know what I did, I lose ONLY MYYY time, nothing will come out of talking or combing their ego"

Strange set of people you are... As if you get charged for showing some concern LOL

To be honest I can see where he's coming from with that. Plus Goats don't give themselves much slack for ego-trips/emotional displays, so giving extra to others who need it, rub us the wrong way usually. Granted their are some goats who can do it, but a lot don't tolerate that kind of behavior at all.

Everyone is looking for a reaction to what they said, whether it's a positive or negative one. I can be pretty dismissive of positive ones, though it's not on purpose. Just how I react to things. If you ever want someone to be angry with you, though, dismissive is the absolute best way to go. I usually don't get angry at people who I'm not super close to, so I never feel the need to bring on the pain. But, if I did, that would be my style.
